Holiday Indulgence- A Delicious Food TR! Sanaa and Final Thoughts

I am so sad to report on our final meal of the trip. However it was at one of the best places I have ever eaten at Sanaa. This was my 4th time dining here and it never ever disappoints. We love Indian food and have always had delicious curries here. The whole atmosphere is so well themed and at lunch time the animals are out in all their glory. If you can sit by the window it's even better. We started off with the Naan Bread service with 9 different chutneys and spreads. Some of the ones I like are the jalapeño pickle, cucumber raita, and roasted red pepper hummus. The bread is made fresh to order. I saw on the food network at show that featured Sanaa and I loved seeing the behind the scenes as to how they make this bread! No frozen food here .



Another great tip for the dining plan, smoothies are included!

We all tried the curries. Included where thr spicey shrimp Durban (my fav, the prawns are huge, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, and braised short ribs. We all had basmati rice. The portions may look small but you will leave stuffed!

For dessert my DH had the banana cheesecake! This boy won't touch a banana but likes this dessert.



My FIL had the tapioca pudding. He liked it, the name sounds gross to me haha. The server told us no one ever orders it.



My MIL and I had the trio with cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, and a strawberry dessert. All wonderful! The presentation is like a signature restaurant.





In conclusion we had another delicious trip! My favorite this trip was Ohana! My surprise new find was Tangerine Cafe. Next trip we decided while club level is nice, we hate having to rush back for food just so we feel the cost is necessary. We are booked for 7 days at a new resort we haven't tried the Yacht Club, with the regular dining plan. If finances aren't looking so great, we are building a house this year, we will go to our old faithful , our beloved CSR. Hi Susan,
How exciting to have your trip 18 days away. The offerings for breakfast were plentiful. My favorite was the oatmeal that had toppings like cranberries and brown sugar. They had different cereals and rotated the pastries so you didn't have the same ones every morning. I really like the latte machine they had a nice selection. There was also cereal, yogurt, bagels, and fresh fruit. Dinner was different every night but they had everything from bacon wrapped scallops to spring rolls. They always had veggies, cheese, crackers, and various salads. In the afternoon they have the best chips and dip ever!! Just writing this is making me want to switch to CL on the next trip. The new lounge is so nice and huge!! Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.

Lori you're too popular! I think the photobucket photos re-appear after a certain time when it resets your bandwidth.... However, looks like your final meal was a great way to end the trip. I've yet to keep an ADR at Sanaa. It's more likely that I'll be successful with a last minute attempt to go there. Is the naan bread service the same as what they have at Jiko with their taste of Africa?

The pull of CL is strong huh? It's so easy to be spoiled by the luxury of having drinks and snacks practically round the clock.

Thank you for the tip on photobucket. I created another account so I can continue my TR. I didn't want to pay for it. If you do for lunch at Sanaa when they open at 11:30 you will get right in. That will also get you a nice seat by the wiindow. I haven't had the bread at Jiko, our terrible server never brought any.

Their chickpeas eclipsed the meats in my world, which is hard to do. You so totally have me craving curry and naan right now. The chili I have stewing away just isn't going to cut it.

Sounds like I need to try to the vegetarian options there too! I had Indian food yesterday here in San Antonio but it still isn't as good as Sanaa.

It's interesting with one dining credit you get one slice of pizza, if you used to dining credit to get a whole pizza two drinks and two desserts.

Oops I went back and corrected what I was saying. I use my iPhone talk to text feature and sometimes it doesn't come out right what I was trying say at the BW pizza window for 1 QS credit you get 1 slice of pizza, dessert, and drink. If you use 2 QS credits you get the whole pizza, 2 desserts, and 2 drinks. So for two people its a great deal!! Heck you could feed more than 2 with that huge pizza.
