When does WDW decorate for the holidays. Where is the big light display?
TIA

Decorations usually go up the day after Thanksgiving and stay in place until the end of the first week of January.

There are several light displays. The biggest is the Osborne Lights at the Disney Studios -- there are over 4 million lights in that display -- but there are the Lights of Winter at Epcot, and then the general light displays you'll see throughout the parks and resorts.

We were there Dec. 4th last year for the Christmas season. Although Disney is decorated as are the resorts, i found it (for the exception of MK) to be quite disappointing. The osborn lights at MGM were great. Maybe because there wasnt any snow or cuz it was so warm...i dunno.. Being from the EAST (PA) i'm just used to TONS of lights and snow..lol

Well, I loved the decorations and can't imagine how many thousand pointsettias and billions of lights they must have between all the resorts and parks. I on the other hand thought it amazingly beautiful and I'm from MN, so I see my share of snow too, but everything was stunning!!! I especially liked it when we were at the Boardwalk Inn and had a view of the front courtyard with the huge lit tree at night and all the other lights in garlands and stuff. Beautiful.

WL, GF and especially AKL I think are particularly stunning. ECPOT, esp. at night was also beautiful and has a huge lit canopy type thing going from Future World to World Showcase. The Candlelight Processional is beautiful. And one restaurant we really like at Christmas is Artist Point, they have lovely decorations.
