Great idea for a thread.:thumbsup2 I will be watching this with interest.:)

If you are flexible on dates and don't mind going in May or late August, check out Monarch last minute deals.

Last year it was relatively easy to get a family of 4 flights, villa and car for around £1200 all in.

They rarely have October deals though as they are winding up for the season unfortunately.

Bargain.

It seems to be the flights that are causing prices to be more than last year for me...Does anyone know of any methods of cutting costs?...I've looked at BA and Virgin.!?....

Have you checked ba's flight price flying into tampa instead of mco?
It will be an extra drive when you land but ive seen prices around £200 cheaper than going direct.
Other than that indirect or maybe some one like thomson maybe cheaper.

The quotes for accommodation and tickets only (no flights) are coming in only nominally more expensive than this year. Must be the flights.

Indirect is often a good bet for cutting costs but you do need to shop around carefully as occasionally you get a good package deal/fly drive.
