Ok, so I thought of a new addition to the poll categories, these will be "Holiday Competitions". Basically, take some holidays, and see which one is the most popular.

So I thought I would pick three doozies for the initial run. So we have the turkey-laden holiday of Thanksgiving. Then onto the sparkling golf cart parades of July 4th. And finally, the year end revelry of New Years.

So take your pick, make your vote, and if you feel like telling us why, go right ahead!! :)

Thanks for voting!

I voted Thanksgiving...honestly my vote had more to do with the weather that time of year...:)

It was a tough call. I voted for New Years, because I think it is the best place to be for new beginings. Although, this year, I'm really hoping I can work out the 4th of July.

I voted Thanksgiving, because we've actually done that holiday at Disneyworld back in 2002. The crowds were not too bad. (Although, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER, drive home from WDW on the Sunday after Thanksgiving). We spent the entire stretch of I-75 through Georgia at less than 40 MPH. They said some insane amount of cars were on the road the Sunday after Thanksgiving that year, and I guess all of them were on I-75 North in Georgia!!!!

New Years, we always spend having our next door neighbors over, or we're at our next door neighbors, so we can safely get drunk without worrying about driving.

4th of July is just too darn hot!!!

Yea, the Sunday after Thanksgiving might be one of the WORST times to drive in a lot of places, and definitely in Florida/Georgia.

Some of the most traffic I've ever seen have been driving back home on that Sunday along the Turnpike and it's just mad amounts of people.

Two Thanksgiving trips ago we had a drive home on a Sunday (we try to leave Monday normally). This was back when my wife still had her small Audi TT, which if you've seen one, you know it's not a big car at all, just a little sportster thing. Well, there had been a HUGE accident, a car and a semi had collided, and they had crossed over onto the oncoming traffic as well. The entire Turnpike was shut down at that location for about 2 hours. We finally were able to start moving, but it took us almost 5 hours to get home that day. And we're less than 3 hours away, it was a pain in that little car!

Ugh, spring break traffic is BAD on I-75 too! We left early Saturday morning last year and it was stop and go traffic ALL the way down from Atlanta! (construction didn't help any). We're leaving on Friday this time and I really hope it's better than last year!

Thanksgiving is one of the easier times for me to get away from work. Since I service retail accounts, they want things done before the holiday hits. So we have camped many times over the long weekend. This seems to be a very busy time for campgrounds in general. Most state parks are booked early. Lots of deep fried turkey going on.

I voted New Years. Although I haven't camped at the fort during any of these holidays, we have been to WDW during Thanksgiving and spent NYE there too. I love everything from Thanksgiving to NYE, the decorations and the celebration. We will hopefully be camping this year during NYE.

I voted NY because of weather but it is VERY busy fireworks & party favors are the best but really anytime your at the fort and on vacation is great.

I voted for the Fourth of July because thats the only holiday we've ever spent at the Fort. ( The parade was great!!) Too much going on at home from the middle of November until after the first of the year for us to travel at all during the holiday season. We'd all love to spend Christmas at the Fort though. Maybe someday in the future.

I voted New Years. I have never been for New years. I think I would enjoy the weather and the :rolleyes1 . I know this last year we went the first week of January and it was great!

I voted for Tday because that is the one we usually go to. The 4th would be fun, but it is hot!! We have seasonal passes so we are blocked out for the 4th and NYE.

How is the GC parade? Is it something to benefit a charity? Is there an entrance fee, or is it "Have GC, will travel in parade"? It sounds like fun...but Ive never heard any details on it. Anyone wanna give a play by play?

I voted Thanksgiving just because the DW gets 2 days off work. Then we add our 2 weeks of vacation. That is our trip

I voted for Turkey Day because if Im in Disney, that means I cant be at home, and if Im not home, then that means I dont have to entertain the extended family...thank God. And, since they are all too cheap and selfish to want to come to Disney with us, we are guaranteed a nice small family dinner (after a day at the park of course!) Ok, but seriously, I love the weather at that time and some of the christmas decorations are out at that time too.
