Holiday anxiety attack #1 already (UPDATE PG 2)

and it's only Tuesday night.

Thought I was going to make it thru this year without any, but DH just remembered to tell me a bit ago that he invited his sister & his father over for dessert on Thanksgiving. (grrrrr)

This just so happens to be the sister that I haven't spoke to since Easter when she wrote me an email calling me every name in the book....but that's a LONG story.

I think I'm going to be ill.

I am so sorry. DH learned the hard way, never ever invite anyone over without clearing it with the chief cook and bottle washer.

Sorry everyone, but I think I've got the trophy when it comes to worst SIL's. My SIL got pregnant 13 years ago (before my bro met her) and she doesn't know who the father of the baby is, but she does know that it's a possiblity of 12 men. We call it the "twelve pack." She's an ex prostitute (I'm sorry I know this is a family site), current drug addict and has lost her kids to foster care more times than I can count. My brother is that father of 2 of her kids. They were divorced 4 years ago. She just got pregnant with her 4th child The current boyfriend is half her age and works at a casino as a janitor.

Her mother is a former prostitute and drug user as well and is a complete nut job. Her father is in prison for kidnapping and raping two 13 year old girls. He is also a former pimp.

She is a total sociopath and has put my nice, well meaning parents through so much grief it's unbelievable. She is abusive to her kids, but DFS doesn't care at all-we've turned in her a lot. In fact, she rarely sees her kids, which is a good thing.

She got mad at me one time and threatened me physically and when that didn't work, she told me she'd tell my DH all sorts of nasty lies about me to get me in "trouble" with him. I steer clear of her as much as I can.

Even though they're divorced, she gripes every year that we leave her out of holiday occasions. Duh, wonder why...

I feel for you-family gatherings can add a ton of stress to the holidays. One year, when they were married, my brother invited her and her family to our Christmas dinner. It was a nightmare!!

bingo! we already had that arguement too. Apparently siblings & father see no wrong in that family. Another brother has had similar disagreement with his wife. Like I said, LONG LONG LONG story!!!!

to everyone going through the holidays with relatives who are " ahem" 'less than pleasant ' to be around. Tomorrow is the annual " wait on MIL hand and foot day " at our house. I told her we're eating dinner earlier, hoping she'll take the hint that she needs to leave our house earlier

UPDATE: Well, all day Wednesday & most of Thursday I had a headache. I'm sure it's because I was stressing about her showing up.

DH & I, and my family get back from eating out. (VERY GOOD BY THE WAY) Hanging around watching movies & football games....and the phone rings (5:30pm). I don't answer it because I know its her. DH finally gets it on third ring. Yup, its her. They are in such & such town, still at friends....and they won't be coming.

I get this HUGE grin on my face, and do a little happy dance while sitting on the sofa. My brother finds it quite humorous. LOL DH enters the room; I stop quickly & just smile at him. LOL

Sigh......suddenly my headache is gone.

We have plenty of dessert left. I can offer you: boston creme pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie, blueberry pie, & ice cream. But I'm keeping the egg custard pie for myself - sorry.
