I just spoke with the ticket agent at Universal and was checking on our passes to make certain my daughter did'nt need to upgrade thru the holiday. Anyways!!!!!!!!!!!Check this out. She told me that the Permium AP's were going on sale in 4 days! Buy one get one 1/2 price. Any body considering or needing this it's a steal. The full price is 159.00 + tax and the half is 79.95 + tax for two passes it'll be 238.95 + tax with no blackout dates!!!! Just thought I'd share for those getting ready to buy your AP's. We got the lotto ticket deal so for teh 159 we got 2 years no blackout dates. Hope this helps also i spyed in the AP news letter it says to look for upcoming holiday special rates at the hotels too! I know there are promotional rates avail. And you just have to ask I just book with a promo rate garden view 249.00 this is less than anything else I've found for bayview it's 259 and del pool it's 303.00 that's for the PBH and my dates are 12/28-1-1-03

OH no. It's just a fluke she mentioned this upcoming special it's suppose to start friday and she did'nt say how long it would last. It might be worth your time to call them back as that would save you a bucket load of money if they would return that order and let you Re purchase. Dunno if it's possible but heck the numbers free and you never know till you ask

What would this pass have that regular APs don't?

Well for starts a bunch! Discounts on merchadise and food, no black out dates, no parking fee, ps at the resturants, discounts on rooms and a few free perks at restuarants, like kids eating for free, appitizers for free. Discounts on special ticketed events, Seaworld discounts ect. Take a look: http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/phi_tickets.html

I noticed many new things that appeal to me and my family esp. pastamores kids eat free from 4-9 with paying adult. 15% off Green house spa at PBH! I feel we pay for our passes in discounts earned on the trips.

How does this compare to the AAA Florida AP promo that's $110. plus tax/each? I think the AAA pass is a premium pass too but I may be mistaken. I know that it doesn't have any blackout dates. What is the "lotto" deal to get the second year, is that still available?

The more I check back the more I learn. My husband and I are going down to PBH next week and then again at Christmas I'll be at HRH 12/29-1/2 and then PBH 1/2-1/5. Hopefully I will meet your same beneficient Reservations people on my trip. Last time they upgraded me and my kids to a Kids Suite and made us feel like celebrities. You are so right, the PBH is really something special! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Messie I don't know what the AAA deal is for weather it's premium or preferred. Preferred does'nt give you the discounts I don't think anyways premuim does both have no black out dates. The 2 year deal is gone it was in the summer months. We will be checking out of PBH on the day you arrive.LOL

I got my pass thru AAA last Jan for $99 (which in now the $110 deal). I have all the discounts, free parking .....no blackouts....all the perks you are talking about. It is the same type of pass. If you are a AAA member, you will save money by purchasing thru them ($220 + tax ..only about $18 less but that is lunch!!!!) :smooth:

I don't see no difference between this and the pass I have now besides a couple added discounts. I think this is the annual pass, they just changed the name and added a couple small things. The Power Pass is essentially the season pass, but I've had an annual pass with all those benefits since '99 when they introduced the two park pass.

I bought my AAA pass last year in December. I'm sure they'll do another deal, that's why I'm waiting for.

Will this be on the web site and do you order through them, or do you need to call and order? That would be a great savings for us!!!!

I was on Universals site and called the 800 number located in the ticket section. Surely it will be on the site by friday.

The Fan Club site is offering the same deal, the only difference is ..
Universal site is offering the 1/2 deal until December 31 and
Fan Club is offering the 1/2 deal until Feb 28
I only need one ticket, so I guess I'll have to pass. I was hoping to get the $99 deal they offered Fan Club last year, but really this is only $120, not too shabby.....

OH BY THE WAY...
Fan Club site says there will be a special viewing area for Fan Club members for the Macys Parade at Universal.

Am I understanding correctly...
I need 4 passes for July. I was going to buy the 5-consecutive-day passes from Universal online for the $89 special web price, even though we're going to be there for 7 days. I wasn't too happy about that limitation, that we'd only be able to go the the parks for 5 days, but the price was good. It would cost me $360.
But now I don't have to be limited? I can get a power annual pass for only $80 each??? (That's $160 divided by 2, 2 passes for the price of one). And it would be a total of $320.
So I can get an annual pass for less than the web special with it's limited consecutive 5-day limitation? And have the freedom of going from park to park any day we want without limitations?
Is this too good to be true?
Please advise!!

These are the passes that have no black-out dates correct? Also, when ordering from Universal, how long does it take to arrive, or can I request to pick them up at PBH?

Margie it took less than 10 days to get our passes ordering online. I would not recommend them be ship to the hotel just a personal preference.

Well, it is a good deal, but not THAT good! It's not buy one get one free, it's buy one get the second for half off. So for 2 passes it's ~$240 or $120 each. $480 for your group.

Hope that helps!

Gillian,
thanks for correcting me. How the heck did I see it as 2 for the price of one? Wishful thinking, I guess!
