I don't mind watching AI if time permits during the day. It's a nice air-conditioned place to sit for 30-40 minutes. We had watched the finale show on Tuesday of that week, and there were some good singers in there that evening. But these were horrible--I just kept wondering "What's the point?"

I love your FAntasmic pictures. They turned out great. You got some nice shots.

Maybe AI is losing some of its popularity and its time for me to try out again. Tried out once and was told my voice has too much of a "classical" sound (ie not pop enough). Maybe they're desperate now.

That photo of the packed crowd... that right there is why I don't do Fantasmic!

Ugh...I cannot listen to that "Call me Maybe" song ANYMORE! It's SOOOOOO annoying! If I had to listen to it over and over in line, I probably would have left and come back when they were gone!

Really? I became obsessed with that song during the Olympics when I found the youtube video of the US swim team singing it!

ugh! I'm sorry you got sucked into staying for the idol show. I could see if there was an amazing singer up there then ya, I'd want to stick around and listen too and make sure that person won but not if it wasn't great singing. Then it's just boring. lol

I can't beleive how long it took you to do RnR in the FP line! That should be illegal. LOL I wonder what the time at the standby entrance was???

Oh, how I miss Fantasmic!

We use to schedule it for every trip, but then we had, I think, three years in a row where it stormed on our scheduled night and we decided to give it up for now.

It is one of my favorite shows, but I get so down when I go and wait for a couple hours, while watching the "clouds of death" rolling in, and then it gets cancelled.

I actually think I have a picture somewhere of my oldest and my husband right after a F! cancellation. They both look miserable in their ponchos in the pouring rain. It's a pretty amusing picture.

I'm with you on AI, I just don't understand the appeal. If it was up to me it would be a "one and done" attraction. My DH, on the other hand, seems to think it is great (despite not ever watching the show on TV), so I've had to sit through it a few times.

The girls dancing to call me maybe had me cracking up. My 2 year old LOVES that song (and so does his dad ) and loves dancing along to it. He would have happily joined right in with those girls!

I've never been an AI fan, so I can understand your desire to leave. Sometimes, though, you just can't break people away from something. As long as they were enjoying themselves, I suppose....

I love it too! I don't think I've ever been in there and then had the show cancelled. Of course, I usually try to avoid going in until closer to time to begin.

Same here....I don't think my kids have watched AI in years!

It is a fun song....I might even break into dancing when it comes on the radio when I'm driving. You know the upper body, head moving dance you do when you're driving?!?!

We don't watch it on tv anymore, but I don't mind watching one show while we're there if everyone wants to. It's always a nice air-conditioned way to sit for a half hour or so.

Finally got caught up again!

Poor Reid! I am glad it was just the one incident and he felt fine the rest of the day! Thank goodness for Mrs. A and her coke. That probably helped to settle his stomach afterwards.

Make time on this trip---I love F! and am always disappointed if I don't get to see it!

Rachel and one of her cheerleader friends love Dance Moms. I try to tell them that it has to be all fake. Surely real people don't act so terribly!

I have not seen Dance Mom, but I think this about any reality show I have seen (mostly just seen commercials for) - people surely can't be so dramatic and ridiculous all the time. I don't enjoy seeing them for thirty seconds on a commercial, I would not watch them for 30-60 minutes on a show, and I sure wouldn't want to have to live around their drama in real life!

I have not seen Dance Mom, but I think this about any reality show I have seen (mostly just seen commercials for) - people surely can't be so dramatic and ridiculous all the time. I try to peek in every day, but sometimes that is all it is - a quick peek. If I go 2-3 days without getting to either write something on our TR or see pictures on someone else's, I feel really out of touch with what is going on in DIStown. We totally understand about real life things taking over, though - the fun stuff and the not as fun stuff. It's all got to be done.
