Does anyone else love to listen to the hold music while you wait? I know it's kind of static-y and quiet, but there's just something about it that makes me feel like I'm home in my stateroom. Maybe it's because it's the same music they pipe into the hallways on the ship. I don't know, but it puts me in my happy place. :rolleyes1:cloud9:

I get where you’re coming from. For me I like hearing the sounds in a sports stadium. Cheesy as it is, I love “OK Blue Jays”.

With that said, I hate hold music in general because it means that, well, you’re on hold, and not talking to a person like you’d like to be doing. That’s probably just me though.

I've been known to be singing along with the hold music when a CM finally comes on the line. :o :P

I generally hate being on hold, but there are a few places I don't mind it because the service is usually very nice and helpful, so for that, I don't mind. Disney tends to be one of the good apples.

I was on hold for almost 30 minutes when I had to make a change to WDW ressie. They played "It's a Small World" several times. I found it humorously cruel. I don't know if you have to be particularly old to get that joke. If so, you should probably know that ride used to break down A LOT which meant you were likely to spend considerable time in Small World purgatory.

Used to?? Last I heard it still does. :P

I was really enjoying the on hold music a few weeks ago when I spent 40 minutes on hold. It actually bothered me that it was so static-y (they should fix that... bad for the image), but loved all the songs.

That's the downside of using Costco as a TA. You're still subjected to the same hold time as directly with DCL, minus the hold music. At least Costco doesn't subject their members to a death loop of John Tesh. Instead, it's just silence, accented with the CSR coming back every once in a while to check on you.

And Costco has a 1-800 number, so no long distance charges.

Haha yes I am definitely old enough to understand the plight of the stranded small world passenger.

I’m glad I’m not the only person it’s static-y for. I wasn’t sure if it was my phone line or what!

I haven't had to call DCL but I don't at all mind being on hold when I call the parks. Especially when they play the Winnie the Pooh music. It puts me in my happy place and gets me excited.

Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life

Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin' in the trees
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at them fancy ants
And then maybe, well, try a few
The bare necessities of life will come to you

I called DCL 2 weeks ago, and the hold music was, "let's go fly a kite" and I'm STILL singing it. Their hold music are earworms from hell LMAO

Ha I love it! The one I always hear is the one with the 7 dwarfs singing about digging in a mine.

I love the hold music. Sometimes I'm bummed when a person finally answers haha. They should just do a separate line for the hold music. I'd put it on speakerphone and listen to it at work or in my car while driving.

See, now that’s what I’m talking about! :worship:

dparkradio.com - it's not exactly the same, but it's all parks music all the time!
