Hi all,
What is the best way to get from Hojo to downtown Los Angeles? DH and I are going next month and after our DLR vacation I go to downtown LA for a conference for a few days while he heads home. I was thinking of getting the shuttle back to the airport with him then finding a shuttle or cab to my conference hotel, but maybe there's a better way to get from the Hojo to the LA Live area? :confused3

I'm assuming you're talking about LAX? The airport is in an entirely different direction than downtown, and it's kind of far. I'd just take a cab from Hojo and save yourself the trip to the airport.

Bumping.

Thanks for the one response I received, but i was really hoping to get a little more input on this...!

Oh. Lol.

What else are you looking for?

There's no real mass transit options. I mean, there are, but they'll take a long time and involve multiple transfers.

The trip to LAX is gonna be about 40 min without traffic west, then to downtown would be another 40 min east. Keep in mind that traffic conditions can easily double this time. Or, from dland to downtown is about 35-40 min northwest. Done.

If you have specific questions, I bet you'd get a more complete answer :)

Your best bet would be to see if your conference hotel has a shuttle from LAX. If not, your next move would be to see what the cost would be to take a shuttle/towncar/taxi to your hotel in LA from LAX and then compare the cost from the HoJo to LA. You may get a better deal going from the airport since there will be more competition for those fares.

edited to add: here is a link to Metrolink, a commuter train system that goes through LA. But I'm not sure if Anaheim connects to downtown. http://www.metrolinktrains.com/

Here's a link for the taxi fare to the Metrolink in Anaheim: http://www.worldtaximeter.com/los-angeles/Disneyland/Anaheim+Metrolink
