When will HOJO release their rates for July 2009? When is the best time to book to get the entertainment rate? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they won't have the entertainment rate in July. I don't think they have it during peak times.

I know were barely getting it in June for the first week, after that I think they don't have it anymore that month even.

Bah..... I wonder if there is any way to find out for sure. We are only able to travel in the month of July and we will be taking a roadtrip from Ohio.

The rates are listed 360 days ahead of time, so unless something changes within the next few months, that's when you can reserve a room. (It would be 360 days from the last day of your intended stay).:) If entertainment rates are available at all (I'm unsure if they ever have them for July....Someone else would have to answer that), they usually appear right at the 360 days, from what I have seen. They will disappear (at least for a while) after a certain percentage of capacity has been hit, so I would check right at the earliest possible day that reservations for those dates become available. :)

entertainment rate is not offered after the middle of june till Im sometime after labor day

Several folks who I am cruising with in August were able to book the Entertainment rate for various dates the week of Aug 10-17, so YES, you can get Entertainment rates in the middle of the summer.

I'm pretty sure they were able to book rooms farther than 360 days out but you had to call the hotel directly.

Edited to add: they booked directly with the hotel at a group rate, but when online booking for Aug '08 became available in Aug '07, they were able to switch to the Entertainment rate. Some called and had the reservation changed. Some booked a new reservation online with the SD50, then called and cancelled the original group rate reservation.

That's good to know! I know the past few years I'd always try to get the rate for either later in June or July and it was never available.

The newly added boards on HoJo's website actually list all the Entertainment Card dates available! It's at http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14. Nothing available from June 13 - Aug 17, so the people who got the earlier dates in June must have booked earlier when availability was there. I know availability changes based on projections of how full the hotel will be. I wonder if they'll regularly update that posting on their boards? In one way I think it's great that they're being so transparent about the Ent. rate and what dates it's available, but then again, I'm afraid it will help many others find it and book it so it's not there when I want it. :lmao:

Whoops! I should have checked here before I made my post of HoJo's 2008 ent. rate dates. LOL SORRY for making a duplicate post;)

Can those of you who have Entertainment books in hand now tell me what the expiry date for the HoJo is for 2008? I'm wondering if I'll need a 2008 or 2009 book.

Also - are you guys sure I can use the card from any book, such as from an Alberta, Canada book?

Thanks!!

What you need is the Card that's included with the book, and it expires the end of November each year. If your trip is before Nov. 30, 2008, you're fine with a 2008 book. If it's later than that, you'd need 2009.

If your Canada book came from www.entertainment.com (or looks the same), then I don't see why you couldn't use it, but I don't have any specific first-hand experience with that.

Thanks, mareed, for your reply. :) Can any Canadians confirm that they were able to use a Calgary or Edmonton book? Thanks, if anyone can.

It helps for me to know the expiry date, too, thank you very much! :)
