Hojo Kids Suite Question

I am looking at the possibility of staying in the Hojo Kid's suite for a trip to Disneyland with my DD, her husband, and 2 grandsons. If we choose Hojo, it looks like I would end up on the twin sofa sleeper. Can anyone tell me if this is like a normal hide-a-bed pull out type sleeper or if it converts for sleeping in some other way? Is it at all comfortable? TIA

Great question! I'll be sleeping on one in September so I am interested in hearing any responses!

It is a twin-sized pull out sleeper sofa. It is not very comfy though...quite a thin mattress. An adult puts enough weight on it to feel the bar underneath. My younger boys didn't mind or notice but my 11 year old dd did.

I'd highly recommend sleeping on the bottom bunk of the bunk bed which is very comfortable and a regular twin size. Sell the sleeper sofa to one of the kids as "special" and "magic" so you can get a good night's sleep. :wizard:

This is the only think in the Kid's Suites that is disappointing. Everything else we LOVE....and have stayed there on 2 different occasions this year alone.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the information. Sounds like the perfect plan to me! By the time they hear me finish the story of the 'magic' sofa the boys will be arguing over who get it rather than the normal argument of who gets the top bunk.

Totally agree, one of the children should sleep on the sofa bed pull out. I would also go with the angle, "You two kids can see each other better, to talk to each other." (If one is on the upper bunk and one is on the fold out bed.) Pre-arrange this with the kids in advance so they know exactly where they will be staying, and show them the room view that is shown on Hojo's website. Fantastic pics. on there, so the kids will get a good idea. No way should Grandma have to sleep on the flip out bed. It is very comfy as a sofa chair, and with only 2 kids we have not ever pulled it out to sleep on, but it does look very nice. ENJOY your stay in the kid's suite, they are such awesome rooms! :)

Glad you agreed, and yes, that thought crossed my mind as well. A pirate's fight will ensue, for sure! : pirate: pirate:

After all, you are in the Pirate themed kids suite. :rotfl:

If nobody likes the chair you could ge a rollaway I guess!

If a roll away is the best option for a good night's sleep is there pleny of room for it and still have space to move around a bit? Anyone done this in the kid's suite?
