Hoarding credits...

My thought had been to use our last CS credits to take lunch/dinner on the plane. now I think that plan may be in jeopardy. I know for sure we won't be able to bring our drinks with us. Hoping to bring some Mickey rice krispie treats to the kids who don't get to go this trip. (But after reading this thread I will try very hard to not hoard my credits.)

We actually had 33 snack credits left between the 7 of us and we used them all at the store at CSR to get snacks for the 14 hour drive home.

This happened to us too when we went to Disney last year. It wasn't because we were hoarding...we were just so full from the meals on the plan, we never had room to eat dessert! :rotfl2:

We only used the snack credit 3 times, this was for 2 sodas and a popcorn while we watched the parade! We ended up gettind 12 Mickey Rice Krispie Treats and assorted bags of chips. Worked out well since we were driving back home to NJ and this let the kids hold on to the disney magic longer!

I didn't want to "waste" credits on water. I bought water at the Hess station and sometimes even paid cash for water, at least once because the cart couldn't take the dining plan. By the end of the trip I realized the reason I wasn't using snack credits. Dessert is included with my CS (lunch) meal and my TS (dinner) meal. I really wasn't interested in getting an ice cream or other real snack most days.

We did the exact same thing and the last day ended up with 4 cs and a bunch of snacks left (we took a bunch home). That is why when I see others talking about paying OOP and such, there is NO need you will for SUE have enough credits!! I think it always takes the first time to see what it is like;)

We are leaving for the World on 9/8. There are 3 of us, DH, DD3 and me. We have mostly buffet and family style dinners planned, so there won't be much TS sharing. On the other hand, I will not be ordering DD3 her own CS lunch, since she hasn't been eating much lately. If her appetite doesn't change, we will have her 10 CS credits to play with- 2 or 3 for lunch on departure day, and the rest for breakfasts or late night snacks. I am looking forward to Dole Whips, Figaro Fries, french toast loaf, funnel cake, and other things I usually deprive myself of. In fact, I have already asked (told) DH that we should each choose one snack different times of the day, and share. That way, we can try a lot more, and not be totally stuffed. I love to eat, and try a variety of things, but to be honest, I can only eat so much. Did all of you feel the same way as I do before the trip, but then realize that there was no way to eat all that? I don't want to waste snack credits on water, but have no opposition to using them on a frozen slushee. We will eat breakfast each morning (OOP), but I wouldn't mind using a snack credit once or twice for a french toast loaf instead of breakfast. I just don't want to blow my snack credit so early in the day and not have the other yummy options. I usually eat three meals/day at home, why not at WDW? Hopefully, I will keep in mind that I do not need to "maximize" at the buffets!
