Ho JO experts?

Hi There

I'm trying to put together a package for my family of 6 for 4 nights in August. Alaska airlines is running some great fares and I can get a good $$$ package deal. I'm considering Ho Jo's because of the location.... Only thing is that their main pool is in refurbishment until the end of October. Does anyone know if this means their other pool that is available is dinky? We are pool people and while I know it won't be anything lavish, was hoping for something decent in size. I'm open to other hotel suggestions also (except the Candy Cane as it isn't available thru Alaska vacations). Thanks for any onfo you can give.

The second pool at Howard Johnson isn't dinky but it isn't real large either. It is located toward the back of the hotel and is surrounded on most sides by pine trees and is a pleasent area. If the time period when you go is hot, the pool will be very crowded and probably full at times.
