When is your local Christmas station starting up? The sounds of the season will soon be blasting through the airwaves next month.

(AM/FM stations only, no internet stations!)

.... when pumpkin spice season is over... I petitioned the Arizona State legislature.... not with any goodwill but a Gadsen flag T-shirt 👕 👕 👕

Radio stations? What are those. I have a Christmas playlist on my phone, courtesy of DH transferring all of our CDs to our Apple music account. I only use my phone to play music in the car and at home.

Dunno... we haven't listened to am/fm in years.

But Hallmark Channel starts Countdown to Christmas on October 17th, so that's about when I'll start hearing Christmas music in my house. ;)

No idea as I don't listen to FM, and the AM I listen to is talk radio. I personally won't be seeking out any Christmas tunes until after Thanksgiving but honestly - I'm guessing somewhere there is a store already playing them! I guess if I can make it till Nov. 1 before hearing them I'll have made out ok.

I bet someone's gonna flip beforehand.

In the meantime, if you turn on Disney Channel tonight... two of tonight's episode premieres are actually Christmas themed. In October? Weird.

If I hadn't rented two cars in the last month, no idea when the last time I listened to AM or FM radio. All satellite radio. So many local stations have gone off the air, I can't even guess if any will go all Christmas music. I don't use my phone for things like music, but a friend does run The Christmas Channel that plays Christmas music year round, and he makes money every month. But that is on your listen of forbidden Internet radio channels.

I assume Sorcerer Radio will switch from Halloween to Christmas around Nov 1, so probably at that time. As for satellite radio, I’ll have to look into those launch dates. Our local fm Christmas station usually switches formats a week before Thanksgiving.

Ours is usually some time in November, typically a week or two out from Thanksgiving.

This is also why I have an extensive holiday playlist saved on my phone. Sure, I could rely on Spotify, but I want uninterrupted musical joy with all of MY songs. I have rules and don't allow myself to hit the full playlist until Nov 1, but when I do, I have a little over 7 hours of holiday goodness!!!

Haven’t listened to AM or FM stations in years. We have Sirius XM in the car and truck. I think those stations start just before/after Thanksgiving. I enjoy them🎄☃️

I think the Chicago station starts on November 1st.
I love Christmas music, but I don’t start listening until the day after Thanksgiving. At that time, this is all I’ll listen to in the car, unless my DH is with me. He works at a Chicago museum where Christmas music starts playing in early November, so he likes to take a break from the Christmas music when he’s in the car, which I understand. He does enjoy the Christmas music when he’s at work.

Nice!

On the note of Milwaukee, B93.3 got sold this year to K-Love. However, Milwaukee will NOT become Scrooge’s rest stop as iHeartMedia has taken over the B! It is not confirmed but will be likely-the Christmas format that’s currently heard on Big 95.7 may instead air on the new B97.3 next month. It’s like Star 102.5 in Buffalo all over again.
