First, our cast of Characters
Me, Snow White, yes it's my trip report and I will be Snow White if I want to be! 28year old mother of 2 amazing kids. I am also the head planner for this trip which means I am in charge of deciding all the wheres, whens, whys, and hows. No pressure or anything Honestly this is good for me because when it comes to vacations(and everything else) I am a bit of a control freak. I am an absolute Disney nut, I've even been known to get a little teary eyed during WDW commercials. This trip I am really excited about the caramel shop in EPCOT, finally seeing the Lion King in Animal Kingdom, and I am considering swallowing my fear and trying out the Tower of Terror. Yes I know your 4 year old rode it but heights is not my thing!
DH, Prince Charming(Are we sure Peter Pan isn't in this Fairy Tale?) My husband is a major foody and thrill ride junkie. His must dos include the water parks, Cape May Cafe, and TSM. He is also the inspiration for our day on the dark side this trip. He is most looking forward to all things Harry Potter and TSM, did I mention he loves that ride? Mhmm
DS, 8 (9 when we travel), Dopey, last time we went to Disney his favorite part was the resort pool and turtle talk with crush, like totally! It has been a few years so I am really excited to see how he reacts to everything now that he is a bit older. So far he is most excited for the Wishes Dessert Party so hopefully Disney continues to offer this next year.
DD, 16 months at time of travel, Happy, I am totally open to tips from anyone who has taken a toddler to Disney, we didn't take DS till he was 4 so this will be a new challenge for us. DD is such a happy wonderful child. We have been eating lunch out once a week since she was a week old and she does very well out. She is very social and loves being the center of attention. I know she is very young but we told DS we would go to Disney last summer before we knew we were pregnant and had to cancel so postponing this trip any longer or leaving DD home is out of the question.
DMom, Sneezy(someone has to be sneezy, sure beats being the evil queen right?) Mom has never been to Disney! She has heard all about it because she has this crazy daughter that talks about Disney every chance she gets but Mom has never been. I am so excited to have her coming along.
DMIL, Doc, DMIL has been going to Disney for a long time but she also has not been in a while. Her last trip was a spring break trip pre-dining plan. She thinks I am absolutely nuts for planning our trip but she is going along with things for the most part. I'm glad to have her along because anyone who would tackle WDW during spring break without a plan clearly knows something that I haven't figured out yet. Her favorite Disney movie is Beauty in the Beast, I know it is highly unlikely to be open yet but maybe she will be able to sneak a peak at Beast Castle. One can hope right?
DFIL, Grumpy, truly this man lives up to this description, lol. I better hope he never reads this! Haha. He is most looking forward to playing golf, which is one of the few parts of Disney that I know nothing about. I also think he will be awesome for drinking around the world, this man makes a mean martini.
DBIL, 21, sleepy, He should be fresh out of the police academy during this trip. He and DH are very close so it will be great having him along. He is totally laid back, I have no idea what he will be looking forward to doing. Hopefully this won't prove to be the monkey wrench in my plan, though I believe my plan is money wrench proof.
Dnephew4, lets see, sneezy, dopey, doc, grumpy... doc, grumpy, happy, dopey, sneezy.... doc, happy, dopey, sneezy, grumpy, sleepy, and... Bashful!! Actually he is only bashful until he gets to know you. This will be DN's first trip also. We haven't told DS yet that DN is going but I am sure he will be totally excited about seeing him there.
