Next to none in October (considered the unofficial "black hole" last year). During value season the value resorts run about $59 a night--in late January/early February the rate dropped to $49 a night at the value resorts, but that was only for a week or two. I would have to guess that the value resorts will be either $74 or $79 a night--that is what it has been this year whenever an AP rate has come out for "regular" season. That is the price I've plan to pay for the one night we need a room in October. AP discounts are not as great and plentiful as in past years. We have seen less availability and more blackout times during holidays this year. Plus less advance notice. I would have to think that the next release will be for September, since it's value season, then they will probably make us wait for the October release since that would be regular season, which runs into part of November this year. I used the best rate program last year and it worked great for me, I actually enjoyed knowing many months in advance that I has a room reserved at a discount. It's too bad that it's gone, now we have to wait until the last minute for releases now.
