hisow likely is it that there will be FD or a room rate discount for Columbus Day weekend?

FD is always blacked out Columbus Day weekend. Last few years FD has ended ~ Oct 1/2 and not started up again until towards the end of October.

If FD ends Oct. 1st, you can always check in on that day and get FD for up to two weeks, so that would cover Columbus Day weekend. Other than that, I've not seen any type of discounts that weekend in recent years.

i just remembered about mousesavers having the chart of discount dates.
i checked and it appears there was a room rate discount which did not have blackout dates around columbus day!
not quite sure if we are going as of yet but i really hope that is the case for this year as well.

Free dining is unlikely because it's Columbus Day weekend, F&W, Halloween parties and quite a few school districts have a fall break in October. Last year I think there only a few nights at the beginning and end of the month that were included.

i mean yes i wanted to know chances for free dining but it seems like that is now what everyone is focused on but i also asked about room rate discounts.

looking at mousesavers it appears that there has been a room rate discount that has included columbus day in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 so is it reasonable to think that there would be one this year as well?

They make very few rooms available at a discount over the holiday weekend.

Free dining, pretty much forget it. Maybe some room rate discounts will be available but they will be limited if they are.
