His lawyer wants to do a mediation instead of going to court now...is this good?

Again, you will most likely HAVE TO go through mediation at some point anyway because you have a minor child. The attorneys agree on a mediator (or one is appointed by the court). I used to work for an attorney who did family law.

Your ex's attorney will bring his dog to the mediation. The dog will jump off of his lap and attack the mediator. You will win everything by default. Congratulations!

DW is a mediator and I've learned that in some cases, it is an good option and saves LOT$$$$$. The cases she deals with are much less critical than a divorce. Dunno for sure, but I wish you the best

We are supposed to do the temporary custody hearing on May 27th, but his lawyer wants to do the mediation BEFORE then. I'm not sure how it will go. I'm still a little concerned. He didn't let me talk to Maddy at ALL yesterday, and he said she didn't want to talk this morning. He made it a point to tell me he took today off of work so he could "spend time with his daughter. It's a daddy-daughter day." I wanted to tell him "yeah, right!" but I have no guts.

OBviously this man cares absolutely more about his own self or his spite or ahtever is going on in his mnd rather then the well beingof his daughter........ Does he have your daughter with him on Father's day?
I can totally sympathize with you as far has having to deal with someone that his NOT considering the child at all when he is making his decisions to try to hurt you. What a shame !!
I suggest you find out exactly what the MEdiation would do to your court case prior to agreeing to it. I tried medication years ago ( In NY) but the creep at the last minute had my then 13 year old call me on my cell to say he wasn't coming ( I was sitting in the woman's office at the time) What a jerk.
