Friday January 12th 2007: Part II
We kept heading toward the pack of the park, checking out The Chronicles of Narnia exhibit along the way. It is kind of cute, but they could have done a lot more with this space and props that it was pretty disappointing.
After Narnia, we headed back to the Backlot tour. I found this particularly interesting today, because there were some new props from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies added.
We started poking around the Streets of America, hoping to take some silly photos as we went. However, the singing in the rain umbrella was missing (a real bummer for me, since we have a photo of me with the umbrella from every single trip!) and most of the sets were blocked off (due to taking down the Osborne lights, I think). Plus, it was filled with people! So no silly photos!
Next we caught Muppets 3-D which is always good for a laugh!
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular was just about to start, so we headed over. We enjoyed the show, but it was a little different than the usual show. There was no first scene (you know, the one with the large boulder), and it wasnt quite the same.
It was nearing 3:00pm, so as we were leaving Indiana Jones, people are lining the streets, waiting for the afternoon parade. Joe and I made one more hopefully pass at the Great Movie ride, but ended up skipping it, due to the 45 minute wait time!
Now, it was mid-afternoon. We were hot. We were kind of tired. We were getting sick of the unusually larger crowds than we expected. We were bummed by the longer wait times. We had a 4:15pm reservation at the 50s Prime Time Café, but did we really want to go? MGM felt like it was letting us down today.
So we sat down. And chatted about what else we wanted to do at MGM: we wanted to see Fantasmic that night, but did we really want to wait around for it?
Then Joe made the suggestion that changed all the plans for the rest of the day: Why dont we go back and see Wishes one more time? I would like to see them from Main Street, and we havent been able to all week yet?
Thats it! Thats what we will do!
So we made a quick call to the dining reservation line to cancel our 50s Prime Time ADR, and make a reservation at Artists Point back at the Wilderness Lodge, we just had one more thing to do before heading out of the park.
We made our way back to Tower of Terror to use our Fastpasses, and pretty much walked on the ride. The CM that lead us into the library for the video told Joe and I that we would be staying in the honeymoon suite on the top floor, and to be careful on the elevator ride up!
We had an excellent ride, with about 5 drops or so, and then headed out of the park and back to the Wilderness Lodge.
