Hippogriff coaster, technical question

I can't remember when the Flying Unicorn was around if this was the case, but the Hippogriff has a car at the end of it which is wide open, in other words, there's several rows of 2, then an open flat section before a flat piece on the back of the coaster train....almost looks like it could hold a wheelchair, but I'm 99% sure that isn't what it's for.

I've seen many coasters but never something like this. Anyone know why it's there?

I remember what you are talking about but I don't know what the flat car was for either.

It's for Team Members (or guests) to cross over to the other side of the station. Woody Woodpecker has it too.

Yep, exactly what I was told when I asked a TM there about it once.

Although there is some dark part of me that would love to watch a wheelchair strapped to that space. ;)

Thanks guys! My hubby asks me everytime he sees it!! He'll be so impressed! LOL!
