Hip, Hip, Hooray! What a great day!

Whew! We have had a roller coaster ride the past few days. We are (were) planning a Dec 27th-Jan 8th trip to WDW. In order for us to go we needed cheap accomodations, with a kitchen. We booked Hawthorne Suites for 12 nights for $1648. Not that cheap, but it included a hot breakfast and a kitchen.

Well, due to circumstances beyond our control (hubby bruised the car and it took 1/2 of the $$ I had saved to get it fixed), we decided to cancel our trip. Boo Hoo Hoo.

Well, I just found Orbit One Vacation Villas on AFVC (armed Forces vacation club) for Jan 1-8th for only $249! I called and booked it and we will be going! Not as long, but we are going!

We have PAP's so now I need money for travel (about $400 round trip) and food. Grandparents are giving the kids money for Christmas so I do not need to budget for that. We will have a full kitchen so we can have a hot breakfast if we want to cook (kids are just as happy with pop tarts, bagels, fruit and yogurt.) We can pack lunch to take to the park to save some $$$ and just splurge on snacks. I can bring some food-stuffs from home to save $$ and just purchase the perishables there.

Now, if I can find accomodations for Dec 27th-Dec 31st our original tripwill be back on! This is the kid's Christmas gift--they are going to be so surprised!

Be sure to post when you get back. I have always been curious about the AFVC. It is such a great deal I always wondered about the facilities. Let us know.

I have stayed at two of the Fairfield Resorts that they offer. One in Middle Tennessee and one in Williamsburg, VA. Both were very nice, neat and clean resorts.
