Hip Hip Hooray for Christmas Vacation... Disney Style!!! A Dec 2010 PTR

So have you nailed down HOW you will be telling Devon about the trip?

Cortlyn randomly will tell me that we're going to Disney World and tell me she needs to "pack this for Mickey, momma!" but I know she won't REALLY get it til we're there... Hopefully, one day we can go as often as YOU miss jetsetter!

Hey Christen! As of now the plan is give him a christmas card on Thanksgiving day!!! In the card will be a Disney gift card and it will say something along the lines of Santa said to give you this gift a little early!! Merry Christmas! Love, Mommy... Now if I know my kid, he is going to think that the gift card is for our trip to Disney next August! And then I will say... No I think you might need it next week... Merry Christmas we're going to Disney World on Friday!!!

Ahhh!!! Cortlyn is too cute, yes I think it's not really going to sink in until she gets there, she is going to be in awe!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Sorry that I haven't been able to post an update, but work has been crazy and with Mr. Devon having football every night of the week and homework on top of that, I just haven't had the time to devote anytime to my Disney addiction!!!

Without further delay, lets get moving here... Ok, so last I left off we were about to head over to swim at the Surf pool. By this point of the day, it was SUPER HOT and I was so hoping for a lounge chair under an umbrella where I could relax and watch the boys swim! Yeah no such luck, so we grabbed a few lounge chairs and we all jumped in the pool!!! Yep, even I had to get in the water... It was just too hot!!!

After swimming for a 1/2 hour or so I noticed a couple getting up from there lounge chairs that were under an umbrella, so I made a beeline to get there seats!!!

Here are a few pics that I took while lounging in the shade!!!

It was at this point that Tim and Devon decided that they were hungry so I suggested we order a pizza! They were game for that so I went and ordered the pizza and they continued to swim. The pizza was ready in about 15 minutes and boy oh boy was it delish!!!

After a YUMMY lunch I decided that I was going to head back to the room to start getting ready for our evening at DTD!!! Tim and Devon wanted to continue to swim and decided they'd walk back with me and continue swimming at the baseball pool!!

Yeah, you know how I said I was going back to the room to start getting ready... Well I sat down on the bed and fell asleep!!!! Opps!!!! I guess I needed that hour long cat nap!!! I knew the boys would be coming back to the room and would freak if I wasn't getting ready, b/c apparently I take entirely too long! LOL!!! So I quickly jumped in the shower and was getting out just as the boys came bombarding into the room. Of course Tim was exhausted now and Devon wanted ice cream now!!! While Tim laid down I took Devon for some ice cream!!!

As you can see, Tim is passed out in the background!!! Stupid kid didn't put sun screen on like I told him to and he got BURN, so needless to say he was feeling like crap... I gave him 2 Tylenol and told him to rest while I finished getting ready!!!

After about an hour our so, we were all ready to go and luckily, Tim was feeling a bit better so we headed to the bus stop to go to DTD!!!

I don't know, maybe it is just me but I swear I feel like no matter which resort we stay at the bus to DTD seems to take forever to finally show up!!

The bus to DTD FINALLY showed up about 30 minutes later so we all eagerly hopped on the bus. This was the only time thus far on this trip that we had a shared bus and had to stop at the other 2 All Star Resort... This didn't bother me though, I had my seat and we still had plenty of time to make our ressie at T-Rex!!!

After an uneventful ride we pulled up to DTD Marketplace!!! Yeah!!! Here are a few pics I snapped while walking to dinner!

Love the update and the pictures! All Star Sports looks like so much fun! I guess I'll have to plan a trip for Caleb and I when he is a bit older.

Tim was looking pretty pink in that picture. Ouch! I hope that he felt better soon!

I hope to have some time at DTD... I've never been, so I'm looking forward to going! I really want to go to that goofy's candy shop and make a treat! Yummy!

I've made the no sunscreen mistake several times and I'll probably make it again. It always seems like a good idea at the time. Each time I do that, though, I'm less likely to do it again.

I can soooo feel for Tim! Poor guy! This past summer DH and I took the kiddos to a local spot. I put sunblock on the kids and DH... Even his balding spot ( ). And off we went...nothing on me. I had completely forgot. I burnt so bad that I blistered and thought we would be going to the ER with Sun poisoning. Needless to say, that didn't happen again this summer and I have already bought 2 NEW bottles of sunscreen...for 10 days! LESSON LEARNED!

And WOW! for you getting in the pool and getting your hair wet!

Poor Tim, he certainly looked "pink" in the picture. I like how Devon hams it up for the camera. Taking DS's photo lately is like pulling teeth. Can't wait to hear about T-Rex.

Great update Reese!!! I can't wait to hear what you thought about T-Rex and the food!! I'm planning to go there next trip. Luke was terrified this trip just of the noise & the store! So hopefully by next year, he'll be ok with it.

OMG!!! Yes I have several bottles myself!!! Luckily Devon has a pretty dark complexion so he doesn't burn, but that doesn't stop me from sun blocking him up!!!

Well I think he played really great last game. I think he is the better QB currently. My dh is still mad that they let donovan go because they said Kolb was the future and now they are going with Vick. I think because donovan has played well so far in washington its like rubbing salt in a wound. Either way I really dont care who is QB just as long as they bring home the Victory.

I noticed you only have 2 months and 9 days until your trip and I was like then I was like OMG that means christmas will be here that fast too. I think I better start shopping now.

Great pictures of the surf pool at All Star Sports. I remember when we were there over New Year's we sat out by the pool and ate ice cream on NYE. Good times.

I cant wait to hear about Universal....I'm crossing my fingers that I get picked to go to a payroll sorta conference in March because it's in Orlando!!! and they are having there appreciation party one night in Harry Potter. What better than a free trip Orlando!? Pleaseeeeee let me get picked. I totally wouldnt care that i was going alone and I would sneak off to WDW at some point or extend the trip thru the weekend.

One week from today i will be in Disneyland trick or treating with the big cheese Mickey!

Well I think he played really great last game. I think he is the better QB currently. I hear ya!!! But honestly I do not think McNabb is really playing that well... He just has players that make him LOOK good!!!
