Hi DevonsDisneyMom!!!
Your plans look really great!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about Devon & his stomach problems. I can totally relate because I had problems myself for about 3 years before they figured out what was wrong. I am praying that Children's can help him & that he doesn't have to suffer as long as I did.
A little history -- my PCP originally told me that I probably had acid reflux. They tried just about every acid reflux med there was...none of them worked. I was on the meds for almost 2 1/2 years then just finally quit taking them because they weren't helping at all!

I was a full-time college student & working full-time while all of this was going on...talk about stressful!!! It really does take your focus away from your studies! And its hard to eat. After 3 years of this, I finally got to the point where I couldn't eat anything...literally nothing would stay down (sorry for the TMI). I even tried jello water & would just throw up! I finally was visiting my parents one day because my dad had a severe migraine & I wanted to check on him. I tried to leave their house to go home & was in so much pain that I couldn't even drive my car. I parked it really weird in their driveway because I just had to stop driving. I made it into the house holding my stomach & crying in pain. Luckily for me, my brother walked into the house & I told him he needed to take me to the ER ASAP!!! I was laying there crying in pain. I have never seen him drive so fast in my life...he was on a mission to get me to the ER (this was a Friday). Well, turns out the ER did tests & found out I had about 7-10 gallstones the size of my thumbnail & my gallbladder needed removed ASAP! Not sure why, but they didn't admit me. I went home, made an appointment with the specialist, and had surgery that following Wednesday. They actually tried scheduling my surgery for 3 weeks later. I wasn't thinking straight, I was just in pain, so I said ok. Luckily my mom was with me (cuz I couldn't drive cuz of the pain!) and she said "She can't even drink water, she hasn't eaten in over a week, we need the surgery sooner." So they got me in that Wednesday.
I know that was pretty long, but I like to share my story with just about anyone who mentions stomach problems. I was on meds for 2 1/2 years for something I didn't even have! My gallbladder was close to bursting & if it wasn't for going to the ER that night, I could have had serious complications. Crazy thing happened...my SIL had hers removed 2 months later at the age of 22!!!
Anyway, just wanted to tell you I can totally relate & I am praying he isn't in as much pain as I was in. And I will be thinking of you the day of his appointment, hoping & praying they figure out whats wrong & fix it asap!
Also, wanted to tell you that I LOVE the idea of surprising him with the trip! I especially loved how you said you were putting a balloon in the box & it will float out when he opens it...totally made me think of a Disney commercial on tv!!!

What a great idea!!! I think the surprise is perfect & I think its funny that you are letting the boys wait to figure out they are going together! It will make it more special for them...I'd love to see the look on their faces when they figure it out! Good luck with keeping the secret...I know what you mean, I am not good at secrets either, especially with Disney. I get soooo excited about going, there is NO WAY I could ever keep it a secret from anyone!!!
