Hip Hip Hooray for Christmas Vacation... Disney Style!!! A Dec 2010 PTR

Hi All Happy Labor Day!!! Man oh man how I wish that EVERY weekend was a 3 day weekend!!! Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday so far... I know I am!

Anyway... I figured I give you all a quick update on our December trip. Saturday was my lazy day this weekend... With working such crazy hours with election day fast approaching (I work in political advertising) I really needed a day to just lay around and Saturday was that day!! So pretty much I laid on the couch all day watching college football and surfing the web!!!

While laying there, I decided to check AirTran's website (that is who we are flying with in Dec) just for s#*ts and giggles... Well is doing so I came to find one that my flight times have changed both going and coming!!!

Nothing too crazy, but now we do not leave PHL on 12/3 till 8:35am when we were suppose to takeoff at 8:20am!!! Thats 15 mins less time in Disney on arrival day!!! We now arrive @ MCO at 11:12am... Not too bad, but I was really hoping to be checking into AKL by noon. Who knows, it might still happen, but I won't hold my breath!

Now coming home on 12/11 our flight was suppose to leave MCO at 6:21pm, now it is leaving at 6:22pm... Really? 1 minute?!??!?

Well that's all I have for now. Hopefully the flight times stay the same between now and December. I will be checking periodically between now and then that is for sure!!!

Also, I am hoping to get day 2 started from the August trip sometime this week... Devon is heading back to school this week so that comes first!!!

Our flights have changed by a few minutes as well.

I hope that Devon has a great time at school this week. Payton actually started last Monday.

Great night at MK! Sounds like everyone had a great time on the rides. How fun that Deven enjoys all the "big" rides. The dance party looked fun too. Loved your pictures with fireworks and the castle. They are perfect and then you see the red hat.

Now coming home on 12/11 our flight was suppose to leave MCO at 6:21pm, now it is leaving at 6:22pm... Really? 1 minute?!??!?

We are also traveling AirTran in December. They have now changed our departure twice. Originally leave at 5:30 pm then to 7:30 and now 8:00pm. Sounds great - more time at WDW? After driving 2 hrs we'll make it home about 1:30 am and DH is going to a Packer game. Oh well, sleep is for the weak.

Hey there! Yes EMH at MK were great!!! We had so much fun!!! ANd yes, Devon has been pretty much been going on all the big rides since he has been tall enough! The boy loves them!!!

More time in Disney is a good thing... Getting home at 130a not so much!!! Where at in WI are you from??? I work with a TV station in LaCrosse every day!!! Matter to fact, I sell the Packers for them!!!

I graduated from UW-LaCrosse. I am on the opposite side of the state from there. I live three blocks from Lake Michigan and only 30 minutes from the Packer stadium. We're big Cheeseheads around here.

I just checked my flight info. The flight is leaving at 6:55 am instead of the 6:45 time that was listed when I booked it. That means 10 less minutes at Disney.

Of course, I could just stay up an extra ten minutes one day. That might work.

I have heard Air tran is famous for changing times. Be sure to check even that day. Paige and her step mom were going to FL once and they didn't re check there time. The flight had moved up 2 hours, and was gone when they got there. So then of course they had to scrable to find another flight.

I have watched the MSEP on youtube and don't like the music. I think the floats are great, but that music is going to drive me nuts. We saw Spectro twice in 2007, I don't think we will watch MSEP twice.

Yes, the music was just something awful. Now the floats look great. But the Spectro Music is just wonderful!!

I have flown with Air Tran for at least 5 years, now, yes there has been a few flight changes , but nothing major. It is just annoying, seems like everyone is now noticing their airline carriers are changing.

Saturday August 14th Lounging poolside and DTD

Ok all, this will be a quick update as Mr. Devon is about to come barging in the door from football practice looking for something to eat!!!

Day 2 was our down day in Disney... The plan for the day was to lounge poolside and head to DTD in the evening, so without further ado, on with the show!!!

We all slept in a bit today, I of course, was the first one awake. At about 8:30a I got up and headed to the food court for some much needed coffee! Once again, I could tell immediately it was going to be another HOT day in sunny Florida. After grabbing my joe, i headed back up to the room where I hopped back in bed, propped the pillows up and enjoyed my coffee while watching Phinneaus and Ferb.... Yes, Yes, I know I am a grown woman, but I absolutely love that show! LOL!!!

Anyway, at about 10am Tim and Devon started to wake up, but not before I snapped this pic... Isn't he the cutest???

...so at this point, we all decided to throw on our bathing suits and head down to the food court for some breakfast.


Here's little man brushing his teeth, figured I get him back for the pics he took of me getting ready the night before!!!

Breakfast was yummy!!! We all had Mickey waffles this morning!!! Don't know about you, but there is just something about these waffles that make them taste so good... Must be the shape!!!

After our belly were full we walked back to the room to put sunscreen on and grab our towels before we headed to the pool... Tim and Dev decided that we would start out at the baseball pool today!

Awww so relaxing laying by the pool!!!

Now I warn you now, the next pic might hurt your eyes a bit, but I just had to take it!!! This dude pranced around the pool all morning like his you know what didn't stink!!!

It was around this time that I realized that I had to call Mears to schedule our pick up time the the next day to Universal Studios... Boy, was it such an easy process! I was very impressed!!! All I had to do was give them the resort we were staying at and they gave me 3 pick up times to choose from. I opted for the 9:10am pick up! With that out of the way, it was back to more picture taking!!!

Apparently Devon wanted to work on this his tan a bit!!!

Overall thoughts of the baseball pool! Loved it!!! they have these ledges that you can see in the above pic that you can lay or sit on, very realxing for someone like me who does not always like to get all the way in the water...


Ok, I must leave you all now... Devon just walked in from practice and is starving... But first I need to put the boy in the shower!!! He stinks!!!

It's crazy, I swam competitively for 18 years too!!! I just don't like to get my hair wet, takes to long to do.... Now the ocean, I love it!!! I could play in the waves all day!!!

Looks like a nice relaxing day so far.
I bet that guy was foreign. It seems the European men think nothing of wearing those kinds of suites. But I'm with you....ICK! I know some American guys wear them too, but honestly, do these guys ever look in a mirror? Even a guy with the hottest body around does NOT look good in one of those.

That's something i am looking forward to is swimming at Pop when we go! I just can't wait. I am hoping that there will be one or two days in December that are warm enough to swim, but if not, we'll survive! At least i know September is a hot month!
