We're staying there soon on our WDW trip....any suggestions on breakfast, shuttle, etc?

thanks!

The Hilton at LBV/DS offers it own shuttle to the parks as part of the ntly resort fee. Buses go to two of the parks and are shared with all the hotels on one side of the street.
You can also walk across the street to DS and board Disney buses to all the resorts which will allow you to connect to the parks.

Breakfast - I would walk across the street to Wolfgang Puck's Express or Earl of Sandwich for breakfast both are very good.

edit: bus questions answered elsewhere.
thanks!

Where was the bus questions answered? Trying to find out... TIA!

I think someone had answered my questions through either another thread or the hotel directly.

The summary is that there is a shuttle from the hotel to the parks, however:
- only leaves every 30 minutes
- possibly stops at at least a couple other hotels in the DTD area on the way to/from the parks.
- was told it may stop at another park if not busy
- at MK, it only goes to the transportation centre as the bus drop off by the front gate is reserved for WDW resort buses

We were only at WDW for 2.5 days so we didn't want to get delayed because of this so we used a taxi to the parks and this on the way back to the hotel.

The bus was comfortable, some say better than the resort bus. We ended up standing in the pouring rain for 20 minutes at TTC waiting for the bus. We did luck out that it dropped us off at LBV first.

hope this helps

Thanks for the information! We are going in February and only for a couple days, so I thought of using Uber too. I have also heard of other people walking to Disney Springs (DTD) and then catching buses from there- any insight on this?

We used Mears, and booked ahead online to save 10%.

DTD is right across the street. If they ever finish the walkway/path you can now avoid waiting for traffic lights (walkway over the street). However, I was told that there are no longer any buses directly from there to the parks, only to other resorts (at which you could then take another bus to a park). Also, was told those buses don't start real early. So if you're pressed for time, a direct taxi for $20 might be your best choice.

To parks? No, there are no buses there that go to parks. You would have to take a bus to a resort then transfer from there to another transportation except for the couple that you can walk. And those buses will start around 9:30-10 so you lose LOTS of park time. Honestly I would stick with your hotel shuttle going and use the other way to get back as your backup.

I agree with PP about getting breakfast at DS or just head to the parks early and grab a bite there. When we stay at Hilton we can use the HH Lounge and grab light breakfast there.

We're considering booking at the Hilton LBV in September 2016. We won't be going into the parks but am wondering if we can still use Disney transport to get from Disney Springs to other Disney resorts ie - we'd like to go and explore the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We won't have Disney park tickets but will be staying at the Hilton LBV. Can we walk to Disney Springs and take a Disney bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge OR do you need to have park tickets to use the Disney bus services? Thanks

Not a problem. You do not need to have (or prove you have) theme park tickets to use the Disney buses. I always stay at one of the Disney Springs hotels and I've done it dozens of time.

@writerguyfl life saver!! Booking and staying here (Hilton LBV) and using Disney Transport is going to allow us to experience a lot of the resorts and resort dining outside the parks that we'd otherwise miss out on. Once we book into Pop Century and our park tickets start I'm anticipating spending a majority of time in park. So excited for September!!!

Glad I could help. If you happen to be going to Disney's Polynesian Village, you can also take the Magic Kingdom bus from the Hilton Lake Buena Vista. That bus goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, it's a short walk to the resort. It's usually quicker to do that, as the bus from Disney Springs to Disney's Polynesian Village usually goes to Disney's Wilderness Lodge first.

Also, you can take the boat from Disney Springs to Disney's Port Orleans and Disney's Old Key West resorts.

Yes, it arrives/departs approx. every 30 minutes
It DOES stop at the other hotels - Hilton is first pick up and first drop off
Buses do share parks. Typically 2 parks per bus.
All off site hotels go to TTC. Super easy to hop on the monorail or ferry over the park. Really not a big waste of time.
Buses are pretty similar to resort buses. Wouldn't say they were more comfortable, but maybe the seats have a bit more cushion. I don't think the wait is any better or worse than any resort hotel bus.

The buses in Disney Springs only go to resorts just walk across the bridge to Saratoga Springs and you can use the buses from there to the parks .I do it all the time and no one cares .If want to use the Disney buses
