Hi everyone I will be heading to HH over Christmas but we wanted to take the kids to the Smoky Mountains for three days after our HH trip so I was wondering if anyone has stayed at Gatlinburg TN and know of any places to stay. Also if it would be snowing there too. Thanks in Advance

We've been going to Gatlinburg for almost 20 years. What kind of place are you looking for? There are some great chalets in the mtns (overlooking the town) available for rent (very reasonably), nice motels (our favorite is Zoders Inn), and some timeshares (Tree Tops, Sunrise Ridge and several others).

It's a little early for an accurate weather forecast, but there could be snow or it could be 60º in Gatlinburg. Skiing is available at Ober Gatlinburg- which is accessible from a gondola lift right downtown.

Snow will be pretty iffy! There might be some on the mt tops, but overall TN has not been getting much snow. In my 40 plus years of East TN Christmas celebrations, we have had a white christmas ONCE!

Ober Gatlingburg produces fake snow for sking so the lack of snow should not be an issue!
