Hilton Head, Vero Beach, or Boardwalk for end of February, 2017?!

I know it's a wide span of selections, but I'm planning on a trip for my boyfriend and me for the end of February, 2017. I was initially thinking of BW with a BW view, but then thought that maybe Hilton Head or Vero Beach would be nice, since he doesn't care to go to all the parks. Is there enough to do at HH and VB? The drive is a little longer to those, but not enough to be a deal-breaker. Does anyone have experience at either for that time of year?

Well, I can speak for HHI at the end of February. Everything's open (if they closed, they reopen by Valentine's Day) but the Island is VERY quiet. And the two times we were there at that time, it was definitely too cold to swim both times. However, for a nice, relaxing vacation, we'd go again. The only thing that prevents us now from going back in late February is that I'm now an income tax preparer and very busy at that time.

If you don't already have a reservation, you are probably too late to get a Boardwalk View (or a standard view). Those book relatively quickly. If you are OK with a Pool/Garden view and decide on the BWV, it would be a good idea to get that reservation made as soon as you can before those disappear, too. Good luck!

I have stayed at HH Disney resort in February. It was very nice and quiet. The pool is also heated if you still want to take a swim.

We didn't go in February, but just wanted to say that we absolutely loved our stay at HH. Just a nice relaxing vacation. You are pretty close to Savannah too, if you wanted to drive that direction and sight see as well.

We are thinking of going to HH at the end of Feb as well for our first wedding anniversary. From what I've heard from others (and from what some have said here) it's a great time to go. Very quiet and relaxing.

If I did not want to do parks, I would go to VB in February. It should be warmer than HH. There are many bike rides you can take, manatee areas you can visit, and you can take dolphin and other nature activities at the Environmental Learning center which is nearby.

I like HH a lot, spent 5 nights there in May. I thought the weather in May was perfect! I've been to VB in the winter, January and February and we were active and happy there.

I really enjoyed VB lovely resort. Haven't been in Feb not sure of weather but I enjoyed the atmosphere. How many nights? I did get a bit bored after 2 nights. I would not spend a week there myself. I would rather the BW and sit by the pool, walk around the BW. Maybe visit Disney Springs. Also consider SSR if not going to the parks. You have Disney Springs then.

I wouldn't do HH in this situation at that time and we love Hilton Head in general. I think VB is a better choice for DVC for this time. One might consider an exchange to a FL beach option for that time as well. But WDW non park is a very nice option as well.
