Hi,

We're not DVC members, but have a II 5-star available to use for our February break (President's week), and the DVC at Hilton Head is popping up as available. We've stayed nearby at the Marriott several times in April and always enjoyed it very much. Since this would be a rare opportunity to trade-in to DVC, I'm considering the trade, but was curious about what to expect in Hilton Head in late February. Looks like the weather would be anywhere from 40 to 60 during the day. Chilly, but a big step up from what we're used to at that time (20's if we're lucky).

Since the beach days would not be an option (for swimming and sun bathing anyway), is there enough other things to do to keep us occupied (3 school-age kids in tow)?

Thanks for any input.

The resort will have a good selection of activities and programs for the children (and also some for adults and families). HH will be fairly quiet at that time, but there are still lots of things to do.

Golfing, tennis, shopping, museums, art galleries, biking (there are miles of paved bike trails at HH) and horseback riding are all available. The resort programs will range from crafts (age appropriate), nature walks, stories, magic shows, crabbing and fishing to swimming (the resort pools are heated - even if the air is not ;) ).

There are also movie theaters and miniature golf opportunities nearby. The Recreation staff can also suggest other nearby things to do - if those aren't enough. Weather permitting, I'd also suggest a Dolphin tour in the marsh - also arranged thru the resort.

Enjoy! :)
