I am going to Aulani this May and plan to book HH for May 2013. I can't book it till, what, October is my 7month window or November.

At anyrate I want to know all I can about golfing around there and what else is there for a couple to do? Do they have boats to rent like at WDW?

Tell what you love about this resort and the area, please. Heck you could even plan my stay if you would like! It will be me and my husband Sunday - Thursday in a studio.

Thank so much and I look forward to hearing from you!

Do you have any specific questions about golf? DH has played every course on the island (except the private ones) and a few off-island courses, some numerous times. Best value-Hilton Head National, just off-island. Runners-up, any of the Palmetto Dunes courses. Be sure to ask the front desk about the resort discount.

I can't comment on boats or golf so probably not what you are looking for but I thought I would just chime in about the excitement for the resort in general.

I was just there this weekend for a girls only trip and it was wonderful. I haven't downloaded my pics but when I do I will post some. It was my first time there and I fell in love with the resort.

I think it would be a great couples resort. I can't wait to go again with DH and/or DH and kids.

I really don't think you can go wrong with the resort. I loved the natural beauty of the resort and how it wasn't overwhlemingly Disney yet it was definitely still Disney.

I went with a few girls who have never stayed at a Disney resort so they loved things that Disney resort veterans like all of us on here take for granted. Things like the hotel keys having the castle on them and having their names on it, mickey soaps in the bathrooms, refillable mugs that are the same as the park resorts, and a Disney resort gift shop. (much smaller than a wdw resort store, but still looking similar). These things just gave me the little touch of Disney I was craving and yet a new location to check out and love with friends.

There are no boat rentals at the resort. There are organized boat tours and kayak tours you can go on.

Lots of places to shop or window shop, really nice restaurants.

We went last year in May for a long weekend. We loved it so much we added on point so we can go in the summer.
