I printed a post in April from mykidsmom2000 that was a brag sheet about the great deal she got on skyauction at Hilton Grand Vacation Club. She paid 449.00 for two weeks, (included taxes!)sounds awesome.
I haven't figured out how to use skyauction yet, but I have some time.
How is this place? Far from Disney? What was your rate, and how did you get it? I checked their website out and the place does look nice, and you can certainly sign up for a package thru their website, but its a lot higher than what mykidsmom2000 paid.
Easy to get to WDW? Website says it is near SeaWorld.
Breakfast included?
Did you do a timeshare tour, and what did you get? I want some Universal tickets to supplement the Disney magic.

I was there 3 months ago. I stayed for 11 nights during president's week. I paid $675 for a 7 day timeshare rental on eBay. Then I added their 3 night promo at $500 (including 2 tickets to seaworld), and then a single night at their regular rate of $215. This was for a two bedroom unit. Here is a link to my review. It was a great place. I would go back. Let me know if you have any other questions.

i got the deal thru skyauction and went in may for two weeks!, oh boy was it awesome! huge, beautiful, luxurious, with a inroom jacuzzi big enough for my whole family. i just won another timeshare thru skyauction, but hgvc is not open to them at this time so i picked silver lake, saw some good reviews, hope it is good. but i highly highly recommend both hgvc and skyauction great deals!

I am sooooo glad you answered my post, I still have yours that you posted I think in April. Way to go--glad to hear you are planning another--when will Silver Lake be?

I need more details, I've never been to a place like this. Are you on your own for breakfast? How was the pool?

Did it take you long to get to WDW?

Did you do timeshare tour?

Just tell me all about your trip--I was hoping to hear all about it since I have been saving your brag sheet all this time:bounce:

What was the room like, and was it smooth going thru skyauction? No problems checking in?

Details, I need details!!!!!!!

i booked thru skyauction so there was no timeshare sales presentation, when we checked in, we mantioned skyauction and they said if were we interested in anything just give them a cal, thats it. We had a full kitchen so we ate breakfast in most mornings, except for character breakfasts. The pool was incredible, we only made to the main pool area, but I know there is another. In the main pool area there are two full size pools, one not heated with a gorgeous waterfall and one heated with a fountain in the middle, there is also a kids pool and playground there and four! jacuzzi's, even one with a waterfall! The rooms are huge with a nicely tiled kitchen and large livingroom, ours had a 50inch tv and vcr, also both bedrooms had tv and vcr. the master bath had seperate shower and jacuzzi tub big enough for all five of us to take a jacuzzi in (kids at our feet). It was about a fifteen minute ride to disney and there is a local publix right down the street that was pretty cheap. The grounds at the hotel are very nice and the property is extremely well cared for. Skyauction went very smooth, so smooth I was sure that it would go wrong, but no, it was awesome. I can't say enough about hgvc or skyauction, i am only disapointed that we couldn't book there again for november, as I would not pay $200.00 rack rate. hope i helped, if anyone has been to silver lake i would appreciate some info on that

We're "owners" so I can't give you any leads on great rates, sorry.

But I can answer questions you may have about the resort itself.

A couple of notes: it's within walking distance of Sea World/Discovery Cove. If you call in advance and ask to speak with the concierge you can probably have them prearrange tours and dinner reservations for you if you'd like. The deli on property isn't the cheapest place in the world, but is convenient for the little items that aren't worth driving to Publix for. The pools are GREAT. The drive to Disney isn't bad at all. And I think HGVC has shuttles that run to WDW and Universal. You can call them to verify.
