A friend has just booked this through a Travelocity package. The place "appears" to be OK according to the unofficial guide...3.5 stars, 77% approval rating...just wanted to know if anyone's been there recently and what they thought. FWIW, I suggested trying to book airfare and hotel separately but they want to vacation 12/16-12/21 (they have free 4 day passes from a travel agent friend, one day each at MK, MGM, Sea World and Universal, expire 12/31/04). Travelocity pkg rate for airfare and 5 nights hotel is $270pp, which I thought was OK considering the short notice, time of year, etc. Anyhow, if you've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn recently, I'd like to hear your thoughts...

Well it wasn't recent, a little over two years ago, but we thought it was great, especially for the good deal we got...$99 a night plus 2 free adult tickets to Sea World! The room was big with a microwave and a fridge, free HBO, very clean and roomy. The pool was nice and clean, uncrowded and open late. It's an easy walk to Sea World. We'd stay again. Hope this helps a little.

DH and I stayed a little over a year ago--at the time we both thought it was very nice, looked brand new, and we were pleasantly surprised to have a microwave and fridge.

leebee,I have not stayed there myself but TripAdvisor.com has alot of great, recent reviews for this hotel...
Sounds like a fabulous place to stay! I'd go for it....
Debbie
