Hilton DD...do they take rewards pts?

I have points on my Amex & I am having trouble figuring out on the internet if Hilton DD participates in the HHonors reward program. According to my amex statement, I can transfer some points.

Is anyone an Hhonors member? Have you used pts at this hotel? What are the advantages? (free nights for how many pts?,etc.)

If you go to the Hilton website and then search for that hotel, on the left side of the screen you will see a link to Hilton Honors. Click that and it will tell you what category the hotel is in. It seems to me that I remember it being a Premium hotel, so that would be about 35,000 pts. for a weekend night.

Note that if you're talking about AMEX Membership Rewards points, you'll get a much better deal on the transfer if you send them to Continental Airlines mileage program first, then transfer them to Hilton. You'll get 2,000 HHonors points for every 1,000 AMEX points instead of 1,300 HHonors points for every 1,000 AMEX points if you transfer them directly.

I really don't think the Hilton is worth the points they want, you'd be much better off using them at an Embassy Suites or something in the area than the Hilton ...

Just stayed three nights at the Doubletree Club (around the corner from the DD hotels) on Hilton points. I went during point stretcher dates, so I was able to get the three nights for 30,000 points total. Great place to stay if you have a car.
