Hi ,
Im taking my elderly parents and wondering which would be best for them. We will have a car. I’m not taking them to the parks. I just need a nice place for them to relax.

I was thinking Port Orleans Royal River view would be nice for them. Or the Hilton Buena Vista Palace as it is just a short walk to Disney Springs. I am a Hilton Diamond member so the benefits would be nice.
Any ideas?

Immerse yourselves in all things Disney! Port Orleans is a great stay and you are just a couple miles from Tonga Toast at the Poly or filet mignon for breakfast at Steakhouse71 at the Contemporary. Enjoy!

If they are not doing parks, and just enjoying the hotel I would say Port Orleans. Beautiful resort to wander, they can walk along river over to French Quarter. If they stay at Port Orleans they can take the boat to Disney Springs and have much less walking than from BVP to Disney Springs. Boat ride is really nice.

None of the Disney Springs hotels are built for "resort vacations". They are great places to sleep that have a shuttle service and are close to Disney Springs. Unless they wish to hang at the pool all day - then BVP would be your best choice.

Thank you very much ! Port Orleans it is!!!

Either IMHO. I like them both for your purposes. Onsite with easy bussing is a slight edge to Port Orleans tho....

I have been reading reviews on TripAdvisor about Buena Vista having unclean rooms with bugs and broken elevators. Plus that the tower is noisy. What has been your experience? Thank you!

I only visited the tower to shop..... it all seemed nice in the lobby- the rooms we had in Island were in good shape- all clean! Out of 3 elevators in Island, I noticed one never seemed to be working. This hotel is def.on my fave list.
