Hey Hillary! I'm just subscribing to your report. I've been so busy with school that I haven't had much time to spend on the Dis, aside from writing my report. I can't wait to read yours, though! I'm one of those annoying girls whose had my wedding planned for years, and I don't even have a boyfriend at the moment :rotfl2: I just think planning a wedding is so much fun, and what could be better than planning a wedding and a Disney honeymoon?! I can't wait to get started on your report, which will happen first thing tomorrow morning! I can't wait! :goodvibes

Thanks for joining in! I loved reading your pretrip, and your TR from last year so I'm glad you're here! And YES a disneymoon is the BEST! And very cool that you have things in mind now, it makes all this planning so much easier! You will know what you want!

WOW your disneymoon sounds awesome!! How cool we check in on the same day! And MK the same day! We will def have to be on the lookout for each other! We are thinking about renting a boat too one day. Haven't totally decided whether to have a free day Thurs or Friday, but one of the two.
You're getting so close! I can't wait to hear all about the wedding!

i LOVE ALL THE PICTURES! EVERYTHING LOOKS AMAZING. I LOVE THE BRIDESMAIDS' DRESSES!!

Thanks so much! That's so sweet! Thanks for joining in.

I have updates, need to get some pictures uploaded, maybe tonight, we'll see, I'm TIRED. If not tonight then hopefully by the end of the weekend!!

Just have a few random things to add!

First of all, I got my invitations today!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy w/the way they turned out!! They are a bit plain, and my mom isn't crazy about them but OH WELL! They are just like I wanted, classy and simple. And much much prettier in person..

I took this to try to show how pretty this paper is. It's gold sparkly paper, SO pretty...

The seal, an "H" (this one was messed up, so I'm using this as a sample, we'll have extras anyway)

I'm in love with them!!

In other news, Saturday I went w/my new bridesmaid to get her dress ordered. Which went fine. But then the lady was telling me when the other 2 dresses are to be expected (in a week or 2), and she was going down the sheet and said something about wine dress w/pink sash. I was like whaaaaat? We had first talked about having a pink sash. But then they told us that this particular dress didn't come with pink, it was ivory, black, white, or brown. They could possibly get the pink but they had to order it w/a color it came with. So we looked at the brown and decided it would actually be really pretty. And they might could get pink later. So, all along I've been planning on brown. One of my bms already bought brown shoes, and I had been looking at bronze colored pearl necklaces for them. So anyway, the lady said they had ordered pink, didnt know anything about the brown. So, we'll see when they get here which it is. I don't know. My mom really wanted the pink anyway, thinks it will look better, and the lady in the store said the same thing, that the dark wine and brown will be so dark together. So, just to imagine I was just playing around in paint trying to get the idea, so excuse my very sloppy idea of what it will kinda look like

I also tried to color out the halter strap b/c we will be taking that off as well.

The pink could be really pretty, esp with a pink strand of pearls for them. We'll see when it gets here, and she told me they can always get the brown sash if we decide we want that instead.
Oh and that reminds me, I found my own jewelry a few weeks ago, JCPenney was having a huge sale. The necklace is just a pearl pendant like I was looking for, and it had matching earrings. And DF picked out a really pretty pearl bracelet. So I got that covered. Really wanted that Tiffany necklace but I just can't spend $250 on it. oh well.

My Precious Moments figurine came in the mail today, but Andy's name is completely smudged so I have to call tommorow to see what to do about that. Sucks. It's SO cute though, I LOVE it. My guestbook, matching garter, and pen also came today! So it's been a big day, all this stuff coming in today!!

And just a little off topic, my new bm, I talked about her a bit I think. Well she just got engaged a few weeks ago, and she asked me Saturday to be her bridesmaid as well. So I'm super excited about that. She's getting married NEXT December, the 13th. So that will be cool, she's getting married just a few days over a year from me.

Anyway, it's late and I'm TIRED so I'm off to bed. Thanks for everyone reading!

I like the pink A LOT more than the brown. Then again, I've never really liked brown formalwear. But I think the pink really adds some softness to the BM dress. I can't really explain it, but I think it's much more suitable for a wedding. And with pink pearls - wow, it will be great.

You invitations are really neat. I really like the pocketfold look. Plus, I'm a firm believer that simple makes everything more timeless.

Great update, keep them coming!

Thanks! The pink is really growing on me. I loved the brown, but the more I look at pictures and think about the pink I think it fits more, and pink is my favorite color so it def shows my personality more! And we went to a craft show this past weekend and found the perfect pink pearl necklaces I think we're going to order, which I think will pull it all together beautifully!

And thanks for the comment on simplicity...I competely agree! I tend to like more elegant, simple stuff now as I've gotten older, and I love them, even if my mom doesnt!

Hi guys! I have some exciting news I thought I'd share here!
I had tried to call Disney a few times a few weeks ago, trying to get a discount for our honeymoon, but I couldnt get through, the computers were down, etc. Well I read somewhere on here this morning that people were still getting availability, so I was like, ok, one more try. So on a Saturday morning of all times, I got through w/in 5 minutes!!

She told me she highly doubted they had anything left at WL, but she'd look. And they did! For courtyard view, which is what we wanted!!! The Disney Visa code is for a package, and we had room only b/c we bought 10 day tickets in May and have 7 days left. But all you have to do is add a one day base ticket to make it a package. So add in the ticket, and we saved a little over $100!! Which isn't huge, but still, $100! is better than nothing! AND, we have a ticket to use whenever. We'll be back sometime. We've talked about next fall or next January. So YAY for that. Totally made my weekend!!! And I had the absolute best CM on the phone, she was SO nice, and SO excited about our honeymoon, she was giving me all kinds of advice for what we should do, and telling me how awesome Wilderness Lodge is going to be in December. So I am PUMPED!

Anyway. I'm still tweaking our itinerary, I think I'm about to call and make some dining ADRs though, I'm afraid I won't get any though b/c its so late. But we'll see.

OH and we ordered a Baggallini for our honeymoon too. I've heard so much about them here on the dis, and DF wanted some kind of sling messenger bag to carry to keep our junk in. I found a great deal on shoebuy, so we ordered it last night, in the khaki color. I loved the pink, but DF obviously vetoed that!!

MES160CK.gif

Did I mention I can't WAIT for our honeymoon?!

Nothing else much to report, DF is moving into our apartment on Monday, so this weekend we're getting the rest of his stuff packed, as well as all the stuff we've bought thats at my house, wedding gifts, etc that we're moving too. I'm SO excited about that. I'm not moving until the wedding but still, I can't wait to decorate and get stuff set up!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Hillary- Sorry I'm so late in getting to your report, but I'm here now :cool1: . Everything looks wonderful!! Your ring is my dream ring, I just love the princess cut. Your wedding is going to be beautiful I love everything you have done.

Oh and those Toasting flutes I love those too. I think we are a lot alike in syle. I love the dark colors and pearls...gotta have the pearls! I can't wait to get married and plan out my whole wedding...but first I better find a boyfriend...thats where you start right? :lmao: haha

Can't wait to hear more about your wedding plans and Disneymoon!!

Okay, I found you!

YAY! I'm glad you found me here! One of my favorite trip reporters! Thanks for joining in!!

I'm glad you're here too! Thanks for reading! And better late than never huh? :goodvibes I LOVE the princess cut, it was exactly what I want. Here's a hint...find a man that will let you pick it out yourself, that's what I did!! I kid...but really, he did. He wanted it to be perfect. And YAY for pearls, I am def a pearl kinda girl.
And hey, you can def have things planned out ahead of time, I had some stuff in my head before I even knew who I was going to marry. Nothing wrong with that, it makes the planning easier! They should totally start a singles meeting group here on the dis, so single disney lovers can find each other!!! That would be awesome.

And now for an update! ANOTHER one. I did so good yesterday, after getting the discount and being psyched about that, I decided to finally get my itinerary together and make some ADRs before it's too late. I had a feeling I prob wouldn't get exactly what I wanted, so I made backup choices too. But I called and got EXACTLY what I wanted. I didn't make alot, because we aren't doing DDP, we are paying for all of this ourselves, and already had tickets, so it would have cost a small fortune. We can deal with counter service, and also bringing some sandwich and breakfast stuff w/us. So here's what I got...

Wednesday Dec. 12th- 1 pm lunch at San Angel Inn @Epcot (lunch is cheaper!) I love the atmosphere, and Mexican is DF's FAVORITE. I ate here yeeeears ago I think, w/my parents. I think it's just so romantic.

Thursday Dec. 13th- 7:40pm at Narcoosees
!!!! This is the one I'm most excited about! Fireworks@MK are at 8. Perfect.

Friday Dec. 14th- 8pm at Artist Point. Also excited about this. Friday will prob end up being our "free" day, not going to parks, just exploring the hotel and swimming, whatever. So DF is excited about eating at the restaurant at our hotel.

Sunday Dec. 16th- 5:20 at Ohana's. I've been there for breakfast, never dinner so I'm looking forward to this too. I LOVE the Poly, and I know DF will too. We love tiki and tropical stuff, so it's totally our style.

Monday Dec. 17th - 9:00 at Trail's End @Ft. Wilderness. This is our leaving day :guilty: , and we don't normally eat a big breakfast, so this is kinda special. We went there in May when we went w/my parents camping at Ft. Wilderness, and DF LOVED it. We ate dinner one night and then breakfast on our leaving day then too. He loved the buffet breakfast so he got excited when I told him about this one.

So there ya go. Here is the rest of my itinerary. I posted it once already but I've changed it some...

Now, I made this knowing that things may very possibly change when we get there. Usually DF and I are very go with the flow, random people. Do whatever we want, when we want, don't like all these plans. BUT, after going in May and being miserable with crowds, I decided to use Tour Guide Mike, I had heard it was AWESOME. So, I based these days on when/where he says to go, avoiding the crowds. It's a main idea, but we don't have to follow it exactly. What sucks is there is only 2 nights at MK that week that are MVMCP free, so those are the only 2 chances we have to see Spectro/Wishes. And then Fantasmic is my FAVORITE!, so I've got to figure out when to see that again, b/c I only have it planned once, and I usually have to see it twice. So I'm still tweaking, and thinkng about it. I told DF we don't have to plan everything, I just want to have a good idea of where NOT to go, so we don't get stuck in crowds. May was his first trip EVER, and I felt bad that it was so hot and he experienced the crowds. We went during Mother's Day, and it wasn't as bad as summer, but for his first time, it was crazy. anyway.

I'm so so excited though. He laughs at me about how much I talk about the disneymoon, sometimes more than the wedding itself! I just told him, wedding stuff is stressing me out right now, but Disney doesn't!! :rotfl:

A few more things...one of the AWESOME ladies on the design board made me these to make tshirts with...

Haven't bought the stuff to do it with yet though. Need to get on that.

So it's been a good weekend! Gotten alot done. Yesterday DF helped me work on putting our wedding invitations together, we got a little over half done. Takes forever. Stamping the reply envelope (that was his job!), and then putting those w/the rsvp and reception card and sticking in the pocket, putting the invitation in, add tissue paper, fold up, put the seal on, and stamp. Doesn't sound that hard, it's just tedious, and takes time. Going to try to finish this week and get them to the calligrapher next weekend. Time is running away from me!

And the most exciting thing at the moment is moooooving tommorow. We spent alot of money in Walmart last night...just random stuff for the apt, cleaning stuff, trash cans, shower curtains, just basic stuff until we start getting stuff off our registries. I'm so excited though. We're going today to look for a new tv stand for the living room. We've pretty much packed everything up. We sign the lease at 2 pm tommorow, and will try to move as much as possible. DF is off tomm and Tues, and I am planning on missing my class tomm night, and possibly Wednesday. Our living room furntiure is coming anytime b/w noon and 7 Wednesday, so I have to be there to let them in, and I have class at 5. And our kitchen table is being delivered Tuesday, as is the cable delivery. YAY! I'm so excited.

So that's all I have time for now. I need to get moving so we can get some stuff done today! Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

aaww, Hillary, how exciting - your first home together!! I'm thrilled for the two of you - and it looks like you've done a fantastic job putting your disneymoon together. I totally agree with you - our wedding is 45 days away and the wedding stuff just makes me tense - now our disneymoon, well, I get giddy just thinking about it!!!! :goodvibes

now we need pictures!! :rotfl:

Oh my gosh! Those designs for the t-shirts are AWESOME! You have to show me them when you are done!

P.S. You will love Ohanas for breakfast!

Everything sounds wonderful. You are so organized. How exciting to be moving into a new place and getting starting your new life. Can't wait to see all the pictures!

The tshirts should be really cool, I need to work on them soon before I run out of time w/everything else. I really want to make one like you did too, I have all these creative ideas, I need to get busy!!

I think I make it appear that I'm more organized than I actually am! I try to be, but I still stress myself out.
Thanks for reading!!

Quick update, we MOVED this week. Well, Andy moved, I just helped. I'm not moving in until after we get married but we moved ALL of his stuff, and I moved all of the stuff we've been collecting over the past year or so that I've had stacked up in my room. I still have all my Fiestaware here, going to work on that this weekend. Our spare bedroom/office is still a huge mess, he has all his computer junk everywhere. But we had our kitchen table and living room set delivered and I'm in LOVE with them. It's all coming together very nice. I wish we had a nice bedroom suit, but hopefully in the spring we'll have some money saved up. Right now its just DF's box spring and his OLD dresser, w/him and his brothers handwriting all over the side from when they were kids. We'll take mine over there in December, but it's white and kinda youngish too. But hey the rest of the apartment is GORGEOUS and I'm so in love. I want to hang out there all the time, but today I had a ton of homework and class at 4:30 so I haven't been back over there.

Oh and my bridal salon is giving us drama. Just going back on stuff they'd told us about deliveries and such, and my dress finally came in monday, but they were closed and the UPS guy was new so he sent it BACK to the company. So now we have to wait until the dress gets back there, so they can reprocess it and then send it back to the store, so another week at least. I'm just tired of them. One, possibly two of my bridesmaids are getting married next year and I've already told them do NOT go there. They are super friendly but super disorganized and I've been so stressed out, worrying about the dresses. They also rent tuxes, but I'm kinda debating going somewhere else because I'm just tired of dealing with them.

Oh my goodness. That is a bit stressful. I hope the company has a way to handle that right away so you can get it soon.

Congrats on getting your apartment set up. I know you're not done yet but it sounds like you are well on your way. I understand about wanting a bedroom set. But they are SO expensive. We actually ended up getting stuff from two different places. If you or your DF are confident in building stuff, we purchased our bed and tv stand from overstock. I was a little unsure about it at first, but I LOVE our bed. And our matress is awesome. I got a brand new (still sealed in plastic) sealy matress and boxspring off craigslist. A wife bought it on a whim and the husband decided he wanted something firmer. It was a great deal and it is super comfy. It took me a month or two of watching craiglist to find something new that I wanted and trusted the people. But it was totally worth it. Hahahaha! My DF still brags about the deals I have found. I'm jealous that you have a nice living room set. I really want new couches. And DF wants a new TV which means a new entertainment set up. Oh well, I will be looking for deals on those after the wedding.

Good luck with getting your apartment organized. Wow, I couldn't imagine doing that within months of the wedding. But it is super fun to do.

It is alot of fun to do, but yes, it's hard to have so many things going on right now! I still have classes and alot of work, plus wedding stuff, and it seems like all I want to do is hang out and do stuff at the apt!!

Thanks for the advice on furniture. Bedroom sets are super expensive, esp for what I want (a sleigh bed). Luckily DF got a brand new NICE pillowtop mattress and box spring less than a year ago, so we don't have to worry about that. I'm going to look on Overstock, see what they have. DF is pretty good at putting stuff together so that could possibly be an option if we found a good deal. We're kinda looking around now, but prob won't be able to afford it until the spring, maybe if we both get good tax refunds, we could use that.

Thanks for reading!
