Hilarious Happening at my last race

I can't believe I forgot to post this! A few weeks ago, I was in a race in my town (Albany, GA). This was the Flint RiverRun. It's a small riverwalk that there was a out and about 5K race on. About 1/2 a mile of the course is off-road trails through a nature hike. During the race a deer actually ran across the course and took a runner out! She was ok (both the deer and the runner), but I couldn't believe that! I fnished 4th in my age group (one place from getting a medal in my first race). I guess next time I'll have to be more descriptive to the deer of who to take out!

Wow, I have had a pickup nearly take me out of a race, but that is wild.

Just goes to show you need to keep you head on a swivel at all times when running.
