Do you get to keep the hippopotamai tai glass from Trader Sam's?

No. I asked. I've only bought my glasses so did not know if they were served in this or not if you did not buy.

They apparently always serve it in this, but you would pay extra to keep it normally. Not sure if Trader Sam's will allow you to pay the difference or not.

The private boat part of our Highway In The Sky Dine Around is just because it is the fastest way back to the Contemporary Hotel. #WDW

The private boat was set up to make sure we kept our schedule normally the Highway In The Sky Dine Around does continue on the monorail.

Private boat ride is the backup plan, done flawlessly, for Highway In The Sky Dine Around when the Monorail should happen to go down.

We've come full circle to the 4th balcony of the Contemporary for dessert and fireworks on our Highway In The Sky Dine Around #WDW

Shamefully I do. I mean I've see that thing a million times, from land, buses, ferries, boats, monorails, beaches ........... but wouldn't that be a nice plus to the night? BUT the worst is I'm not booked for 3 mos. I hope it lives up to the wait. Just excited for an adult dining experience that isn't just plopping down in a restaurant.

@HopperFan Once again, THANK YOU for posting all these photos! I'm going in early March... a trip I'm giving my husband for Christmas. I'm busting at the seams with excitement and I can't say anything until Christmas!! Not only was I fortunate enough to get this reservation but DVC has a DVC after-hours party at MK so I was able to reserve that as well when we're there! Woo hoo!

I'm busting at the seams with excitement and I can't say anything until Christmas!! Not only was I fortunate enough to get this reservation but DVC has a DVC after-hours party at MK so I was able to reserve that as well when we're there! Woo hoo!

you guys, I'm gonna cry if a time doesn't open up during our trip. This looks like the best anniversary date ever! I need some fairydust!

So, I was able to snag a reservation for 2 for this event for our upcoming trip. Original plan was for me and DH to go and DS9 would go to a kids club, but DH isn't going now. My next plan was to try to reduce this to a reservation for 1 and have DS go to the kids club, but I brought the plan up to DS9 tonight and he wants to do the event instead of kids club. I let him read the descriptions and see the pictures and he thought it looked completely awesome. He's an adventurous eater and is incredibly well-behaved. He likes to get dressed up and act like a "little gentleman". (He also expressed concerns that if I went alone I would become a "drunk, lonely lady" LOL!) I know, obviously, due to the alcohol and how they have priced this event (no kids price) that having a 9-year old accompany me isn't the best value for my money, but I'm definitely doing it and am fine with spending the money so he can go (trust me, I've wasted my money on worse things at WDW!). My question, for those who've gone, though, is do you think we'll be uncomfortable doing this? I'm guessing he may be the only child at the event (and I told him so). Thoughts?
