Highway in the Sky Dine Around with Wishes viewing area

This seems like a decent deal when it's $159.75 for Multiple courses and includes Gratuity. I wonder if this will be offered during the Height of Spring Break. They aren't doing it during peak Christmas. Does anyone know if they are into April yet? I'm tempted to do this on Saturday night of Star wars Celebration since I'm not doing the Parks for this trip.

I agree with it being a decent deal. $129.15 plus gratuity of $20.85 (16%), plus tax of $8.40 ... on my receipt $158.40.

5 Courses
Alcoholic Drinks at 4 courses
What sounds like a mini dessert party at course 5
Private Wishes Viewing
Valet Parking

Just combining the menu pricing at these places if I did on my own one item, and a single drink each plus dessert/fireworks party and valet ...... I see an approx value of $230+ and maybe more depending on if additional alcoholic drinks are offered and how many appetizers. Plus the fun of the event itself.

The Tomorrowland Dessert Party alone is now $79 plus park ticket.

I think we all know what this means when the next round of dates are released.

So will it be $225 or $250?

Biggest fear! BUT my hope is they are on a learning curve on all these. We did Club Villain at the first price point. They bumped the price and having been I still think it's worth the new price BUT they have a few times had to give AP DVC CM discounts to fill dates. After Hours they came in way too high, and by the end had cut the price in half. Got it right with EMM, and once the new lands open at other parks those will sell out.

My hope is that they will see the benefit in a good price point. In 24 hours they have almost sold out for four months, 3x a week. Way better to find that perfect slot and fully book then having to work in discounts. BUT we all know some things Disney make no sense.

Just did a quick check. Dec, Jan, and Feb are sold out completely. The only dates left with openings for 2 are 3/10, and from 3/24 to the end of the month.

No surprise. Wonder what they will do? Open more nights for this? OR maybe do a version at Epcot with special Illuminations dessert party. Would work great there. I'd book it.

I think someone wrote along this thread about wine pairing at dinner... I didn't see that. I don't drink wine anyway... I wonder if they'll substitute drinks out for non-wine drinkers? My hubby is pretty much a beer guy! I know we'll have a good time no matter what!

It was in the parks blog article, but not in the event description on the parks website.

Yes there is a difference in the two sources ... for Wave (only one says appetizer), Poly they match, Citricos (only blog says wine pairing), GF lobby they match, Fireworks Viewing (one says dessert, other says assortment of desserts.

In the Parks blog article it does say the Chef's choice entree is paired with wine.

Substitutions have yet to be mentioned anywhere.

One more question I hope to see answered in reviews.

Was reading a blog's article about this and they inserted their own photos of the locations for dining. I was looking at the Citricos .. and then it hit me. I wonder if each party will get their own dining table, or we will be grouped to fill tables (Club Villain) or if it's a small enough group for a long table (Dining with Imagineer)?

he monomeal idea is fun, but I think I'd prefer to do it at my own pace at the restaurants I choose and with the full menu options available

100% agree. A package (while may present a value) is restrictive on options so for some, may not be a value to all. When we tour the monorail we'll walk through just about all of the common areas of the resorts. I've danced to the music from Spirit of Aloha, gave a loud ovation to a couple I never met after thew said their vows, wandered over to (and been invited to) the DVC lounge atop Bay Lake, watched some of my favorite parts from movies on the beach at Polynesian, etc....all things you won't be able to do with this package.

Five Courses

Wave = Appetizer, Specialty Cocktail (looked at menu, think we can rule out the cheeses, salad, soup ... so maybe a shrimp, crab cake something easy to serve)

Poly = Island-inspired Libations and Appetizers (Most curious on location here and fingers crossed for Lapu Lapu)

Citricos = Special Chef’s Main Course Selection (I wonder if only one special and if you don't like you can do menu entree)

GF Lobby = Champagne and selection of Artisanal Cheeses (easy one)

Fireworks "Patio" = Assortment of Desserts, Cordial and Coffee (my guess small ones like a dessert party)

All pretty vague IMO

Yeah that was announced a couple days ago but so far no one has posted the dates it is good for, and since it won't work for my trip I'm not going to call.

As with all things Disney, it's not for everyone. Everyone at Disney has different values on everything. Other than the DVC Lounge, none of the other things you listed that you enjoy would appeal to me at all. The package does appeal to me. It's all good, there is something for everyone.

All pretty vague IMO

Everything new is fairly vague until it starts. I know I'll get at least 4-5 adult drinks, 2 appetizers, cheese assortment, entree from Citricos, dessert assortment, coffee and valet. AND private fireworks view. But it does read like there may be multiple appetizers offered a one stop and drink(s). Kinda wish I were going this week so I would be surprised.

Our date is Feb 28th it is now sold out too. I think you are right and this is headed for a total sellout before it starts.

Over half the Feb dates are gone, and some in March are sold out.

Just did a quick check. Dec, Jan, and Feb are sold out completely. The only dates left with openings for 2 are 3/10, and from 3/24 to the end of the month.

I put in those two dates and could get it for 1 only. Going going gone.

Earlier in this thread and in another I saw mention that the train station is roped off but can't seem to figure out what for?

It has been reported that there are so many VIP Tours now, that is their VIP viewing area for the parades. It may depend on how many tours as to how much the area is closed.

That was mentioned in regards to public space for parade viewing. It's not related to this progressive dinner/fireworks package.

Various things, including parade viewing for folks on the VIP Private Tours I believe. I'm not sure about now, I remember reading this way back

Leave today and showed my wife this and she asked are we doing it great date night

I would happily have booked this, but I'm just not sure of my dates yet. I would even do it without the FW viewing. Oh well, maybe they will open more dates.

As of right now it looks like it has sold through everything currently listed. I am interested to see how well that holds once reviews start coming in. I am thinking if demand stays this high they will be raising the price before they announce more dates.

How long before lurkers start showing up to the Wave and just following them along their journey?
