Hi all
So we got back safe & sound and had an awesome trip. Here are my highs & lows.
Lows:
* Weather - accuweather predicted only positive things but we had 2 colder days and foolishly weren't prepared. A hat and gloves would have been great but, to be fair, it wasn't freezing either. I think in contrast to the other days it was much colder (which is kind of a high in itself - we had some lovely, warm days!)
* Food - we had one great meal. The rest were so so. BCR wasn't as good as previously plus our waiter was dippy. The Steakhouse was only ok (nice starter, average everything else). McDonald's was good! Cape Cod was great. Annettes was bland and greasy.
* No more 2015 trips aaaaaaaagh - this is our 1st year in 5 we don't have a 2nd trip to look forward to. We have booked for January which softens the blow so we'll survive!
* EMH and missing shows - we only did EMH once but tbh it was no loss! Hate the new system. If you want to see characters without waiting ages you must make EMH which voids what used to be a great opportunity to beat the queues and get loads done as you now spend the time queueing for characters. Next time we will be doing EMH every morning plus we can earmark certain mornings for characters and others for rides. We also missed both Spring shows which I'm gutted about.
Highs:
* Crush - I kept my eyes open! It was amaze!
* Cape Cod - carved sirloin and lovely waffles and pasta. Great value and selection , so much so we dined there twice!
* CM Antonio on the glasses return bins at Ratatouille - he played (through the glass) with James for 20 minutes while we ate at BCR. He was hilarious! We had loads of fabulous CM interaction this week. Christian at check in at the NPB was so nice and welcoming and we had some fabulous pixie dust. Two CMs on BTM, Antonio and Christophe also made James' day by complimenting him on his stick on moustache!
* NPB - the rooms are beautiful! The service was great and it is coming up to a fantastic standard. Good job!
* Shopping - I picked up some fab merchandise this trip plus a few lovely bits in VDE. Of note were the Attractions posters (12 pack - Harringtons €24.99)
* Flying AF - much easier than AL or RA. Plus a good luggage allowance. Big thumbs up!
TR and pics to follow!
