A few highs and lows from my recent trip
HIGHS
Eurostar - fast efficient stress free. I love travelling on it.
Seqouia Lodge honeymoon suite - never my favourite onsite hotel but I got the themeing this time. I know its a winter hotel but it felt more luxurious in summer with the shade working as an antedote to the bright sunshine of the parks and village. The suite itself was huge and comfortable and VIP fast pass was a lovely extra.
Walts - we had a really good meal and felt relaxed and ready for Dreams.
Dreams was still great and the new sections work very well.
CMs were all friendly and charming (with the exception of those in Agrabah Café who seem to have told to scowl at guests and speak as few words as possible!)
Other guests - yes really! As an older couple visiting without little ones we were charmed by the reactions we saw from families who were new to the parks.
The general look of both parks - they really did look pretty.
LOWS
The food on Eurostar Standard Premier - it was not good and I dont think we would bother again. Breakfast on the outward journey was just ok but dinner on the return journey was very poor. Really a fresh sandwich and a cookie or muffin would have been better.
CMs in the Agrabah Café - they were soo grumpy. I guess it could be because other serving staff get tips and perhaps those in buffets dont . They wont get any if they stay so surly.
Lots of broken equipment. Does anything in Art of Animation work any more? We found lots of things were broken, and when its things like effects on Pirates which have supposedly been recently refurbed it seems odd.
EMH - very poor on this trip. Little ones were in tears because Dumbo didnt open for EMH despite it being on the leaflet. Covers were still on it 9.15 and CMs arrived a little after that and told everyone it would be at least half an hour. Carousel was taking ten minutes to load as CMs seemed to be deliberately slowing things down and Buzz and Orbitron had huge lines by 9.00am. I know there may be reasons for rides not opening as planned but if thats the case get IASW going!
The rollercoasters - Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and R nR coaster all need new seats or refurbing. They are too rough and really bash your head about. Hence none of these rides are attracting riders - fifteen minute waits for each of them at peak time in summer means guests are not going on them.
Overall very enjoyable and I managed to enjoy a glowtini
