highlight extending time between touchups

Hi i have highlights and need to wait 3 wks before redoing them they look horrid does anyone use a color or is there touch up wash out color or anything to make roots look less noticiable my hair grows so fast ,

I use a product called Lumnize. You can get the kit at Sally's for about $4. My hairdresser puts it on my roots right after doing highlights and I can get 6-8 weeks between touch ups. I have done it at home as well with good results. It will lighten your natural color up to two shades and comes in a clear, ash, and gold tone. If you only want you natural color lighter, use clear. If you need to tone down red, use ash. If you want more red, use gold.
