Highlander
Main planner, grouchy at times Me : Steve (aka God "honest")
Slothful Trio
Peacemaker, maid, and chief: Jacquie (aka Wife puts up with me)
Chief spender, shopper, moody: Stephanie (15 aka Daughter & first born)
Chief pain, wind up merchant: Danny (13 aka the "boy" my heir)
Day 6 Tuesday 4th July weather hot & sunny spell of rain noon for half an hour
Up around 6:30am, leave the sloth's sleeping a litle longer, head to front desk to report missing charger, girl at front desk takes note of it (for the life of me I'm sure I moved it somewhere safe, which is why not exactly worrying yet), grab a coffee and check my email, head back to the room a little before 7:30am. Then I proceed to put TV on all the lights to get the sloth's up, as its the 4th I want an early start, we breakfast in room and everyone incl DD drinks plenty. The hotel shuttle leaves for SW at 9:20 in my opinion far too late, so we get the trolley there and we are in SW for 9am get to see the flag ceremony and then its off to JTA store stuff in locker and away we go, once is enough as we are all absolutely soaked, we ride Kraken 3 times though, have to point out here SW was well set up for the crowds from start with staff etc on duty, its now a little before 10am, we decide to see if sky tower is open as on previous years its been closed, we are in luck its open, cost is $3 each or free for passport holders so its free for all of us
,the seats are well comfy and the views are spectacular
, both myself and DW notice that the car park is pretty empty for its size which surprised us, after the tower we head for the Believe show, we get in with 20 mins to go till the show, but a couple of bottles of water as its very warm and don't want a repeat performance of yesterday, the stadium is packed there are loads of school kids from Brazil who where starting waves around the stadium, Danny tried a few "Vive Le France" and "we love Henry" luckily for him they where too noisy to hear him
,now I know Believe has quiet a few critics but I have to say we loved it and I think its a very good show and shows just how closely the trainers have bonded with these creatures and vice versa,
after Believe we buy a refill cup for juice and I call Dixie Stampede to ensure our reservation is made for tonight. The next show is Clyde & Seamore, the mime was great as always,
during the show there's a huge deluge of rain, the rows not under cover try to retreat to shelter but the rest of the stadium is full, the guy in the show tells them it did say the splash zone, to give the cast their due they persevered and carried on with the show, the sea lions basically did what they wanted though, made the show more funnier as the animals just did their own thing, the rain began to subside around the time the show was ending, fighting our way through the masses we head over to Bay stadium as there's a 1:15pm show of Fusion, on the way over we pass Mango Joes and its not too busy so we forgo the show in favour of lunch, although its not too busy the line is pretty slow, we decided to share lunch we got two chicken wraps, 2 large fries and 2 slabs of cake (point of annoyance the deserts weren't priced, and when asked cost no one knew only the till knew it seems), also a drinks refill for our cup, with AP discount it was $25, the food was pretty nice and plenty to share in fact half the chocolate cake ended up in bin. After lunch we headed to hospitality centre to meet Rob, grabbed a free amberbock, might have been two
, waited 30 mins for Rob but no sign off the choccie bandit, I wasn't too surprised we missed Rob as the park was very busy now, it came over the speakers that the shuttle launch was due to happen within 10 mins and a good viewing area was over Kraken, so we headed over there, and yes we got to see the shuttle what an amazing sight and the smell was very strong as well, may not have been the view we wanted but it was great seeing it and now we can wear our t-shirts saying we where there
, during the launch I caught a glimpse of Rob in the crowd but when I went to find him he had disappeared, our next stop was Waterfront where I looked at the pearls etc for DW as an anniversary present, but none impressed, ok not true a couple did impress only problem was the price was just as impressive
discovered a new Bud shop as well they had some impressive items for sale the barbeque in NASCAR style was great looking but at $300 gave it a pass.

we had a great view as we are in second row but we where not shown at all where to sit down our server came and went, never introduced herself at all while other sections where having the show etc explained to them by their servers, ours never reappeared for that part, she then appeared and asked beer, wine, juice, I chose beer everyone else had juice, I also had to ask for juice as she was only intending to give me beer, the show began and after 10 mins our server served the drinks, she also asked the couple next to us if they wanted their kids to participate in show, this is what DS had done last year chasing the chickens on stage, the couple never had a camera with them to take photos, as they aren't allowed, so I offered the use of my digital camera and I could email them the pictures, so I gave them my email address so they can send me an email when they get home as they couldn't remember there email addy, I'm sure they came from Scotland but I couldn't understand the accent (bloody jocks)
, I still had 3 20% off vouchers so I gave them to other people in store, we crossed road to Mall and it was only 7:45pm, couldn't believe show and meal had been so rushed, the sloth's soon forgot their disappointment and shopped away happily till the outlets closed, managed to get a decent pair of Timberlands for Danny for school as well as they had a good sale on, as centre closed we headed for trolley stop it was pretty busy, first trolley to come was the green line, now this line doesn't go up I-Drive but runs parallel so we jumped on it and got off just past Sandlake road and a 10 min walk to Hotel from there, on way we saw SW fireworks very impressive, also loads of cars just parked up on road to watch, our I-Trolley driver was great her name was Shirley or Martha if service stunk, she radioed in to her controller to advise him of traffic being dangerous, she then proceeded to try and set up a couple of drivers with her single female passengers, a very funny lady and certainly made it an enjoyable service home. Once back at the hotel I had to check if charger had been found, but not before seeing Disney & Universal & City Walk fireworks from QII balcony we had a great view of all of them and the finale at City Walk was tremendous, security at QII where very helpful and helped me look through a box of chargers they had 3 boxes of all these phone chargers etc, but my pda was not amongst them, headed back to room convinced I was going to have to shop for a new charger, had a glass of wine in room, while kids watched Disney TV, DW went to bed and guess what I went into a pocket in suitcase to get a pen and found my charger
