Day Nine Friday 7th July Weather Cloudy, warm, humid, heavy rain 2pm

Despite having got to bed at 3am, I was up a little after 8, now I had warned everyone that even although we had such a late night I still wanted them up before 10am, after dressing go for my usual coffee plus do some emailing on my pda :surfweb: , I had put the do not disturb sign on the door just in case the maid came by, headed back to the room around 9am where I proceeded to rouse the poor souls, lots of moans and groans, but by 9:45 we are all sitting down for breakfast in Denny's, this was our first visit too Denny's, despite it being busy we got a table right away, DS ordered from the kids menu 1 junior slam, both me and DW had the extreme grand slams and DD had 3 pancakes, one carafe of apple juice, plus coffee, total $27, the food and service was okay but I preferred the eggs at IHOP just tasted nicer to me.

After breakfast we get the trolley to SW, we watch Horizons this show is a family favourite although the script was thrown out when the bird they release from the arena refused to fly down and just stretched out sunning itself in the heat, very funny and also showed yet again that none of the animals are forced to perform,

after Horizons it had to be Clyde & Seamore the mime alone is reason enough to enjoy this show so much, by now we had also looked in quite a few stores as well as DW was looking for something special for her wedding anniversary gift from me we also spent some time at the stingrays, so I decided a free beer was called for or was it two free beers? (smiley), we also fed the sea lions got four trays of food for $9 as I got a $1 off with passport, DD chickened out of feeding them due to birds being so forceful in attempts to steal the fish, while we where feeding the sea lions you could see the skies darken and then the rumble of thunder mixed with flashes of lightening, now I don't know if this was unsettling the sea lions for we saw a few actually being quite aggressive with each other,

but also there where a few cubs around and I think the mothers where being quite protective of the area around their cubs, we took cover near the sea lion enclosure as it was raining by now and then the heavens really opened, it was around 2pm by now and we hung around till 3pm to see if it would lessen but no such luck, so we decided to head back to the hotel via the trolley, we got back to the hotel around 3:30pm and the room wasn't cleaned, DW was annoyed about this till I admitted I had forgotten to remove the do not disturb sign, to give the maid her due she actually came to the room around 4pm and offered to clean the room then but we said no and just made the beds ourselves although we did take fresh towels from the maid, the pool was obviously closed due to weather so kids watched TV and I had a glass of wine or two, around 5pm

I called SW to cancel our ADR for sharks as it was still not too nice outside.

Around 6pm the rain had let up and it was just a drizzle now so we decided to change for dinner, we got the trolley just a few stops down to Bahama Breeze, when we arrived at the restaurant there was quite a crowd already waiting but we checked in and our pager went off within 5mins despite being told 20-30min wait, DW & kids all had soft drinks I had a Cubano Mojito, we also ordered Cuban bread to share and chicken wings, this was a mistake the portions are very big, for main course I ordered two starters onion rings (actually the size of car wheels) & coconut shrimp, DW chicken kebobs served on a bed of rice they where huge, DD had a pizza, it would have fed us all and DS had the chicken strips and fries also big but not as bad as he ordered from kids menu, I also had a rum runner during meal as well, the bill was $76 not incl tip great value we left so much though, our server did offer to box it up for us but we knew it would end up in bin, as you probably guessed we passed on dessert, overall Bahama Breeze certainly lived up to expectations, great food, good service and great value.

We waddled out of the restaurant a little before 8pm and it was still drizzling, now despite the fact it was still wet we decided to walk back to hotel area as we where so stuffed, on the way obviously DD had to shop she was on look out for a new digital camera, now she had spent all her money and then some, so she asked for a loan which to her credit she has paid back from her own bank account, she actually gets a decent one in one of these camera stores that litter I-Drive for $65 it was marked half price and came with all disks etc also surprisingly the assistant never tried to heavy sell any brand or accessories', we also shopped in the NASCAR store near the QII where everything was further reduced by 25% so DD got a very nice top for $6 and I got a new t-shirt for $3 as it was cleared to sell plus got a nice Jack Daniel's baseball cap for $25, so we where actually in hotel room for a little after 9pm and everyone was knackered so while the kids watched TV, we packed for our weekend stay at Universal, everyone was asleep a little after midnight although DW was asleep by 10pm.

I am really enjoying your reports!

Shame you had to drink alone so often though. Maybe next time, Mike and I will join you so you can have some drinking buddies! :)

I am learning a lot about Orlando through your TR... never been shopping or on the trolley. Plus, I also have to say sounds like you guys got a lot of food on the plane. I was impressed by that!

That'd be fun to have drinking companions :thumbsup2 as for the food we travelled continental in April and they give same for transatlantic remember its over 9hours a long journey, but worth it for the fun

I am loving these reports cant wait till hubby gets back from work to read them to,think we will go to Bahama Breeze just for the cocktails.
