Yep, the T-shirts etc. are expensive, but I think they all say 'concert tour' prominently on them and many have all the tour stops, etc. on the back. So they do have that added coolness factor.
I know I'm a sucker for that. I don't even want to think how many shirts I have around here from concerts, musicals, etc. :rolleyes1

I know our show was never a complete sell out, but the only tickets left through ticketmaster were way up in the rafters. So I was kind of surprised to see empty seats scattered throughout the arena. Not a ton, but a few here and there. Some were even fairly close seats on the floor. The two seats right next to us stayed empty all concert.

Me too, I already know I'm going to be shelling out for a T-shirt for sure. It's DD's first concert and frankly every concert I ever went to (only a handful) it's basically a requirement you get the T-shirt. It's just what you DO. :rotfl2:

I'm not surprised you had empty seats, they were probably crazy high tickets no one could sell. I'm fully expecting to see pockets of empty seats at our concert since there are so many available at brokers. I'm probably going to have 3 extras pretty soon myself. I just need to confirm with one other mom to see what is what & then I need to buy 2 more in the section we are already IN so we are all at least in the same section and then I will have the 3 that are on the completely opposite side of the arena to deal with.

I just bought HSM shirts at Kohl's for me and my girls. The are the layered shirts. Our show in Worcester, MA isn't until Jan10th so I am wrapping up the shirts and a HSM photo book that I bought at the scholastic book fair. I am also going to try to print out the cover to HSM CD with a written invitation from AShley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgins inviting them to the concert. I am so excited to go. Our seats are in the first row up on the first balcony. I hope that they will have the large screens up so we can see up close.

I think they start at $16.95, but they are good quality. You can choose the HSM logo or one of the characters or something else from the movie. You can add a tag line and personalize it too.

I ordered one last week and it came quickly. DS is getting his tickets to the concert along with the shirt, the HSM board game and the DVD.

Does anyone else have a concert review?

Thanks again, LBurg for the help!

Kohl's has shirts also - I'm going there tonight. I went to the Disney Store the other day and they had none. They actually referred me to Kohl's - how stupid is that? They are missing out big time on sales.

Just wanted to report that we really enjoyed the HSM concert in Houston last night. I was surprised at how much the showcase portion of the concert took up (as opposed to the HSM numbers). My dd really enjoyed it though. Drew Seeley did a great job in place of Zach Efron. They had cameras everywhere so I'm guessing the Disney Channel will air a concert special at some point after the tour is over.

I bought dd's shirt at Kohl's and honestly thought it was cuter than the $30+ shirts they were selling at the arena. I forgot how expensive concert merchandise is!!! Plus the lines were really long. We went with several other girls(and moms) and we all decided not to buy the merchandise so in the end, dd didn't feel like she missed out on anything.

Just wanted to add my review - definately a thumbs up! :thumbsup2

We went to the Nassau Coliseum show today and had a blast.

I bought a shirt for DD at Kohl's but the glitter on it wore off when I washed it this morning so I bought her another one at the show. So much for trying to save money. I may go back to Kohl's and complain though.

Jordan Pruitt opened the show, and I thought she was good. A lot of the show was showcases for Ashley, Vanessa and others. It was expected, but a little much. Before the show they showed Hannah Montana videos, commercials for the new Corbin Bleu movie and the Disney Mobile phone and the HSM video game and talked about HSM 2. The whole show was a huge commercial for Disney stuff. I guess I should know better but I thought it was a little overkill. The HSM numbers were good, with lots of choreography and some video from the movie. I couldn't help but think those poor kids are being worked awfully hard. I also thought Vanessa and Ashley had way too much makeup on. I understand they are onstage but they were on video screens too so we could see up close and they had so much blush on they looked like clowns.

DD and her friend sang along with all the songs and they are addicted to the Disney Channel so they loved the whole thing, and that's all that counts, right? :) I've been watching the movies and shows along with her so I knew the songs and enjoyed it too. I noticed that the parking lot was filled with minivans, lol.

The show started at 7:00 and was over at 9:15.

I hope the rest of you enjoy your shows.

We saw Jordan Pruitt's music video on Disney Channel. DS had not seen her before.

I bought a shirt on the disney shopping web site so we're set with that. I'm going to try to avoid the souvenirs. It's good to know I can take my camera.

I'm so glad to hear that everyone is having such a good time.

I wonder if the people who paid $100's for their upfront tickets feel the same way!

My DD can't wait to go Jan. 6th! I think that was her favorite Christmas present. Her and her friend are also wearing shirts that we bought at other places, but I just know that I'm going to get sucked in and buy a shirt there. Or at least a program.

Heck, she's 6 years old and this is her first concert. She probably should have something to remember it!

I talked to a mom in the souvie line who said she paid almost $300... PER TICKET.

I saw her down on the front row - off to the side - with a whole group of girls standing right in front of her the entire concert. Of course I assume her daughter was one of the girls, so she was probably happy.
(She spent a fortune at the merchandise stand too btw)

She also said that she and her daughter flew to another state to see the Cheetah Girls concert since she couldn't score front row tickets here. No doubt she paid big bucks for that as well.

Seemed to be worth it to her. Certainly wouldn't be for me.
Whatever :confused3

We just got home from the Long island show and we really enjoyed it! DD9 screamed her head off and loved every minute of it! I got some great pictures. I couldn't believe the prices some people paid for this show. Our seats were fine and we never once wished to be on the floor.:)

we are on the floor - 4th row from stage and we got in at the opening bid of $70, guess we were lucky!!! Can't wait for Wednesday!!!!!:)

we went last night - it was awesome - DD was in heaven!!! Corbin waved at her and it is all she can talk about!

they have TONS of merchandise: many, many shirt designs, key chains, etc - it was almost hard to decide!

everyone did an awesome job!!!! - except Vanessa, who I got a weird vibe from that I won't elaborate on. Also, she had absolutely NO chemistry with Drew - to the point she seemed to be reacting negatively toward him, while he seemed to be really trying...weird..wonder what is going on there......but then she came back out and did her showcase and really gave it her all...

everyone who is waiting to go..you are going to have a wonderful time!!!:)

I think someone posted the other day that Vanessa was coming down with something... they are doing so many concerts that they have to be tired.

DD is going to Mondays show.

that might explain the weird vibe thing I mentioned then (but not the thing between her and Drew): I am guessing a combination of medicated and trying REALLY hard to be up and enthusiastic!!! Thanks!!!!:)
