my trip is nearing and I have a few more questions...

I had previously heard that the HS Musical show is sometimes cancelled during the hot afternoons. Has anyone been recently and experienced this happening?? It's only playing on weekends so our opportunities to see it are less frequent.

Last year we sat in the hot sun to see the Pirate show on Tom Sawyer's island. I'm thinking the show is probably about the same as last year and not something we need to roast in the sun again for. Has anyone seen the show lately? Is it the same as last summer? Do they perform on any kind of schedule? Like on the hour??

Last year we did not get to do the meet and greet with Jack. We waited around and waited and waited and he never appeared. No one on the island seemed to know when he would. Any hints to help us get an autograph?

Thanks!

If Captian Jack does not appear on the island, he can sometimes be spotted around New Orleans Square. Specifically in the secluded court yard area behind the ornament store.

The weekend of June 20th, the HSM parade was cancelled Saturday due to the heat. I want to say it was cancelled Friday too, but I don't remember..

I am not certain they are still doing the pirate show anymore. But I really am not sure about that. As far as Jack's autograph... go to city hall on your way in and they should be able to tell you when and where Jack will be and hopefully that will make it easier to find that elusive Jack Sparrow!

I can't say much for HSM...

As for Jack Sparrow, I think there is a photo area by the Aztec chest on the island... or at least there was. He usually goes from the show over to that area for photos. Ask at City Hall is probably your best advice for this one.
Haha. Once while I was waiting on the lower level of the Hungry Bear Restaurant, I saw Jack Sparrow run to the bathroom and when he came out I asked if he washed his hands :rotfl: But that was a pretty chance encounter! Pirates have to use the facilities too!

I saw him a while ago in New Orleans Square but since that area is super crowded by midday, he was attacked by a bunch of people and there was no chance of getting near him with all the kids and super-pushy adults crowded around.
