I know a lot of people have been having problems with DFTW photography, but I'm still going with them. I just have some questions I can't really find the exact answers to. We're thinking of upgrading the included photo package of our Escape wedding to 1 of the Cinderella packages. Main reason for this is that to buy the disk with the included package is over $700, right? :confused3 Then with the Cinderella packages the disk is free, right? Or am I reading something wrong there. We're also planning on doing the MK shoot, maybe adding on Epcot. I've seen lots of others pics, so I know they can all be on 1 disk. (meaning ceremony, MK, and Epcot pics) But is there just 1 fee for the disk? Sorry if this sounds so confusing. I'm getting confused just reading it back to myself. :rotfl: TIA!!

Disney doesn't advertise this, but if you give up the prints and the small album that are included with the Escape package, you can buy the disk for $395. You can have them add the theme park portrait session photos if you give up those printed products too (basically just one 4x6-inch print of each image + a folio of 12 images). So only upgrade to the Cinderella package if you really want all those other products it includes.

Frankly, there are so many options for professional and consumer photo printing, albums, books, etc. these days—and for so much cheaper than Disney's products—that going with the disc-only package will give you the most bang for your buck. :thumbsup2

So let me get this right.. If we wanted to exchange all albums and prints that come with the packages we choose, we could get all of those pics on a single disk for $395? That sounds GREAT!!! :woohoo: Where are some good places to do your prints after? I have an account at Shutterfly. They seem pretty reasonable on certain things. I've never really had to print pics like that. I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

Thanks for the quick reply @ lurkyloo

I like to use Mpix.com for prints—it's the consumer arm of Miller Labs, which does printing and products for many wedding photographers. Shutterfly, Kodak Gallery and Snapfish are OK, but I like Mpix's professional papers better.

For photo books, I like Blurb.com for the myriad well-designed layouts and three cover options (softcover, dust jacket or image wrap), but there are tons of other places online too. I haven't ever had a flush-mount album made (where actual photos are affixed to the pages, rather than printed on a press like a book) but there are online services that do it for less than professional photographers charge.

And so far I've been pleased with the canvas portraits I've had made by Canvas On Demand. They turn up on Groupon a lot, which is nice!
:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!!

We wanted to look into the canvas. Just didn't know where to look. We like the look of the photos that are the actual pages. So that's the type of album we'll be wanting. We def. don't want a Wal-Mart album with the plastic on the pages. :rotfl: Not after spending all that money on everything!!
