What is your experience with the shuttle service at Hifs?

This will be the first yr we're not renting a car.
We are going during low season (Nov) and expect that there will be less buses going and coming from the parks at that time of year.

Do the buses make several stops or do they go directly to the parks? Are they usually on time?
We have 2 young children in strollers. Will the strollers be a problem on the bus?

Has anyone used their shuttle to go shopping at the Lake Buena Vista Factory store?

Any info would be appreciated.

We only used their shuttle once, to Epcot, a few years ago. At that time, you had to let them know the night before that you needed the shuttle and it was scheduled for specific times. There were no other stops - it went straight to Epcot. We found that the pickup time from Epcot at night did not allow us a comfort level for watching Illuminations and then getting back to the bus in all the departing crowds (with a 2 year old.) I can't remember the exact issue, but it seems like the last shuttle was going to leave just about as soon as Illuminations let out. We skipped Illum. and took the next to last shuttle.

I'll just say that with 2 little kids, I would rent a car because I wouldn't want to be tied to their shuttle schedule.

I used their system back in 2000 and will DEFINITELY rent a car this time!

The schedule was okay, it was just that I hated to do that run back to the parking lot for the time they return. If you notice, the times are usually about 2 hours apart so if you miss one....

We notoriously got there TOO EARLY and had to wait and wait for the bus to come. Not a good way to end a day at the parks IMHO.
