Anyone stayed at either of these properties and cares to comment? We are 3 adults going to WDW in January. We are going on a budget. We can stay at either of these properties for $99 and it includes breakfast.

I've stayed at Homewood. The rooms are decent size with a living room, good size bedroom, small kitchen with table and chairs for 2 as I recall. Breakfast buffet was very nice - good selection and very roomy setting. Only complaint was that the hotel was right next to I-4 and we could hear highway noise all nite. I understand that some rooms are farther from the road and don't have this problem.

Have you considered renting a condo? You can get a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom unit for less than $99/nite. It won't include breakfast but may be worth the difference in price and would give you more space. Just a thought.

Thank you Steve for your reply. We had not considered a condo. Are there any you would recommend? We do have reservations for HIFS with 2 rooms that includes the breakfast and I believe this property is away from the highway. My only concern with HIFS is that it is so highly recommended for families and even in the off-season I hear it gets pretty crowded.

I haven't been to HIFS but I've heard pretty much the same things you mentioned. And no, it is not near the highway.

As for condos, there are quite a few close by. We are staying at Windsor Palms in a few weeks. We're renting a 1400 sq. foot 3-bedroom, 2-bath unit for $90/nite. This complex was just built in 2002. They also have 2-bedroom condos which would be cheaper. Their website is:

I'm sure if you post a question to this board, folks can recommend some others. In addition to condos, there are also individual houses with private pools at Windsor Palms and numerous other developments. A good site to see multiple options is http://www.vrbo.com/vrbo/flcentral.htm
