Do you need resservations to use the shuttle service? And would you use the HIFS free bus, or take a cab? What would it be (approx.) to take a cab from HIFS to MK?

We have one day where the girls are going to CRT and the boys want to sleep in and meet us at MK after we eat (they will not be able to get in when we do). I need a good solid plan because DH is grumpy about this. He thinks we should just skip CRT because it is so complex...

I'm not sure about needing reservations for the shuttle bus.

Do not skip CRT!!! It's definitely worth it, plus you'll get some girl alone time since the boys won't be there.

We took a tax from OKW to HIFS and I think (not positive) that it was around $12.00?

HIFS to Magic Kingdom was $10-$12. It was very simple to use the cab to or from the parks.

I am 100% certain it is $10 flat rate with the cab service HIFS uses to go to Downtown Disney Marketplace. If you have itme don't miss this. Even if you don't have a lot of extra $$$ for souveniors, go to DTD! :) We made multiple trips there. :) Hey I had to spread out the spending to ease dh.

I have three tips regarding the HIFS bus system.

#1 Use the bus to go to the parks, but not home at park closing, unless you like cramped buses with your kids in your lap. In my honest opinion it is WELL worth spending $10 or so to get back to the hotel quickly and comfortably after walking all day. :)

#2 If your room is not close to the lobby ask your cab driver to drop you off at your building. Save yourself and your feet some walking! :)

#3 Get off the HIFS bus at the FIRST park you go to, if your desired park that day is the last drop off. You can board a Disney transport bus and go directly to your desired park. This process is generally faster, especially if the HIFS is going to all 4 parks that morning.
