Hi is DVC still allowing borrowed points to be put back in original use year?

Hi,
Supposed to go to Wdw in May , I reschedules for nov.
I think will cancel.... I am a health care worker and I cannot quarantine .
All points are borrowed and some xtra point purchase.
Are they still allowing borrowed points to go back to ORiginal yesr?

They did for me on Sunday.
 
Yes, I cancelled a Nov stay about two weeks ago. Borrowed points were returned today.

I just canceled an October trip on one membership because I had newly acquired banked points on my other one from my BLT purchase,

The points were returned...wasn’t many, but it happened without contact.

I spend far too much time on the phone at work so anything that saves me from doing it at home is preferable by far.

I tried to cancel online but kept getting the dwarf error. I called and at first they said it would take 7 to 10 days for the borrowed to be returned. I then asked her to bank the rest. She put me on hold and came back and said both were done.
 
I had the same issue - think it might have been Stitch for me. Called in and they put the points back.

Still depressing though.
 
Quick question--waiting on ROFR for a small add on. The (sellers) original owners had borrowed all of the the 2021 points into 2020 for a trip which they then cancelled. I was planning on renting those points out when I get ownership, but do you think MS would move those points back into 2021 for me?

It’s very possible they will be put back automatically. Every Thursday the system sweeps things up and most borrowed points go back,

If the owners have them just sitting in the account now, there is a good chance they have already gone back, or will soon. I canceled nights in October on Wednesday...and borrowed points went back by Thursday in one membership.

It took about two weeks for mine to get returned, but it happened without calling. I wasnt against a banking deadline or in any hurry, so I just checked every few days and eventually it happened.

I am renting points that were borrowed from Feb 2021, the owner is willing to reschedule for us for next year. But after the original trip was cancelled I got an email from him saying he was sorry and thinks the policy changed regarding returning borrowed points. But maybe we just need to wait a bit? (Reservation was cancelled last night)

I’m trying not to get too bummed out, and also trying not to bother the owner who has been so helpful throughout this entire situation.

It can take up to 15 days for them to be returned. Only way to get it done faster would be a call...and even then not al CMs will,

Yes, every Thursday a sweep is done and it will pick up points. However, it can sometimes take more than one week to get them all...that has happened to me,

So, if it was just canceled last night, I would not expect them to be returned any sooner than Thursday.

I just cancelled HHI, and the points were borrowed,and they will be put back into 2021 UY.

Thank you, but after a two week quarantine for me,I found out my doctor has the next two weeks off. So, that convinced me to cancel. We own at HHI, and right now are looking to a March visit, and then one in May.
