Hi I need some idea/help

Our School PTA (elem) is having a Garden Tour and Plant sale as a fundraiser(quess who's idea this was...LOL)

anyway I think we should do something nice for the people who are so graciously letting us use their Gardens.

As a gardener what would you suggest? I think we should spend at least $20-$25 on each gift.

How about a big old terra cotta pot and have some kids put their painted handprints all over it.

Gardener's Salve - there's nothing like renourishing those hands after being in the garden all day or what about a stepping stone ...

Expanding on justjulie's idea. How about a custom made stepping stone? The art teacher may be able to order the supplies and a mold for less than buying retail then have some of the students design each stepping stone. Maybe incorporate the school colors, owners initials or the year too.

I like the stepping stone idea or terra cotta pot idea. Something that will remind them of the kids is nicer than just getting stuff.

the Garden tour plant sale was today. We did alright not great but this was the first year and we are hoping to get bigger and bigger every year. Even though this year we did not make alot we did learn alot and had a great time.


Already looking forward to next year.

Oh and the gardens were beautiful! We had a total of 8 and the tickets were only $10 a group(in other words as many as you could fit in your car)

Wow! That's a great price - we include a barbeque with our garden tour but we charge $10 per person!

The barbeque lunch works out great - everyone tours the gardens and then heads to one central location to enjoy a barbeque lunch.

We also have a house tour and for $5/plate you can enjoy a sandwich (well four "triangle" sandwiches which equal one if you know what I mean), a scone with heavy cream, two slices of cheese and a pot of tea.
